I am trying to list some items that are 14 ounces or less. The USPS First Class Shipping rates are missing when I use the Calculate Shipping tool. Usually, they appear between Economy and Expedited. Not there. I checked all the options, but they were not there. I restarted my computer waited a while, and still was not there. Is anyone else having this issue?

Do you have retail rates chosen? If so, the limit on first class package is 13 ounces. Choose commercial rate.

I totally agree, it's the craziest thing they have done in the 25 years I've been on here. I have been having the same problems. I think I figured it out. Mine is when I was trying to send an item that should go first class it would put in parcel select, UPS and FedEx. It would not let me put in First Class or Media mail. I have local pickup as an option, and it will only let you have 4 choices. So, I have unchecked the local pickup up option, then "select another option" will show beside the other 3. I can then pick first class. I then have to touch the three dots and to make it my preferred way of shipping. Then I have to delete one of the other choices to go back to the local pickup button and turn it back on. Or I guess I could have just deleted the UPS or FedEx. I'm not sure if that will work for you but deleting some of the options, they automatically list is what I did. You also click the 3 dots and that's where you delete an option. Hope it works for you. I haven't listed hardly anything for 2 weeks trying to figure this out. I finally got mine to work tonight.

That will not work if the OP has retail rates chosen.

Or you can just choose to use Pirate Ship.

I use 13oz regularly on my listings because I have retail rates chosen. That way it will calculate the proper 1st class charge rather than Priority. The online cost is the same using 1st class for items over 12 oz up to 15.9oz, so 13 oz works fine.

Will not work for the OP if they have the retail rate chosen. 14 ounces package to zone 8 is $11.60 priority, no first class option. Commercial rate it is $6.28 first class package.

If I have an item that weighs 14 oz, I enter 13oz on my listing form. That way it calculates the 1st class rate (rather than Priority) since I have retail rates for my listings. Then when I print my label I enter the correct ounce and the cost is still correct because they are calculated in 4oz increments.

It only works if retail is chosen. If the package is 14 ounces and you have retail rates choose, then only priority or parcel are available.

To get around the difference in weight limits, you can tell the shipping calculator that the package weight is 13 ounces even though the package is actually 14 ounces.

Don't put in 14 oz when you list. That's the key. Always enter no more than 13oz (since that is the limit for retail rates) and the calculator will figure the correct online rate which is the same for 13 through 15.9oz. Then when you print your label, 1st class is available and you can enter your 14oz.
Trust me, it works like a charm. I've had to do this hundreds of times.
