First Class International shipping - problems printing labels -How to opt out of International sales

Many of us have been dealing with issues trying to print First Class International packages.

I've been on the phone with eBay twice. The latest customer rep said until USPS supplies the module to eBay for first class International packages, the problem will continue and no labels will be printed. 

I advised eBay I will be stopping International selling until the problem gets fixed. 

To make your listings US only, you'll need to do a 'bulk edit' of all of your listings. Next, click on manage International shipping. You'll see the option of 'No International shipping'. Click on that and update. Now your listings will show 'Ships to: United States.' 

Hopefully this is a short term problem and is remedied quickly.

Really we have to go to facebook to find out important ebay info, what no place on ebay to put the info so everyone can see it?  Reminds me of the fake Hawaiian Bomb scare but in reverse. 

Please make the announcemnet on ebay of when it has been fixed. And why is the system status board all green (all green means no issues)

Has both issues been fixed yet?

As a work around until this is fixed if you do not wish to wait or your buyer does not want to wait then you can buy a label on Stamps.com for less than USPS.coms click and ship.

It's 1/23/18, and I tried to print the first class International label again.....it worked!!!!!! 

Thank you eBay for getting this problem taken care of in a timely manner.

The reason is because USPS changed over their system to the new pricing structure on the 21st and people were abusing the First Class shipping system.  

USPS is trying to stop the systemic cheating that ebayers were pulling.  

They want you to print the labels as "package" instead of pretending packages are envelopes. 

It won't change back.

@stuff4divas    Sorry I have not tried their service.   Just throwing it out as a possible option.     You would have to check and see.

Then you will have to use usps.com click and ship.

I am just a seller like you.  I have some international sales that I am going to have to ship in  few days if that bidder wins the auction.   I will sign up for a stamps.com account then cancel it before the trial period is up.       Hoping this issue is resolved before then.  I do know that ebay has made it a priority for the tech team.

I was told by an eBay rep yesturday (22nd) that USPS will not allow 'any' more 1st class international packages with merchandise, only documents and thateBay had to block all 1st class international lable postage. I spent the whole day switching my auctions over to Global and priority mail. Was I misinformed???

The issue has apparently been fixed.  Users are reporting success today in printing FC international packages.

Yes, you were misinformed.  That is the error underlying eBay's programming problem. Merchandise is still allowed in First Class packages, but not in letters or flats (AKA Large envelopes).
