Customer purchased an item received it and then found it cheaper on Amazon. He wants a price match or will return the item. He is also threatening feedback i.e. "telling all his friends we are not customer focused" etc. Any ideas?

You don't happen to be dropshipping from there, do you? I mean I'm not sure, but your listings sort of have that look about them.
If you are, you probably should go ahead and do the partial refund.

I'd welcome him to return for a refund. Don't cave in and reward his bad behavior with a partial refund. Report him for feedback exortion as well. Its clear-cut buyers remorse so if he returns, he has to pay for return shipping and you can charge your 15% restocking fee. You have enough proof to beat a false snad as well.
