eBay shipping question. I have the 2 to a sheet self adhesive labels. When I try to print Fedex labels from eBay it keeps putting the labels in the wrong origination that prints onto both labels. How to I get it to print the labels sideways? It's very annoying.

I sell infrequently, and I ran into this problem today. I can't rotate the image that will print the rotated image. I'm new to these message boards, and I don't see a way to attach a file in my reply here.
To feed my label into the printer horizontally, I have to divide the sheet in half, as a full sheet won't fit horizontally. The printer doesn't like this, and it doesn't feed into the printer straight. In fact, it stopped and said it was out of paper, but I pressed "Continue," and it did print, although off-kilter since the printer didn't bring the label in straight.

A poster kindly set me a PDF file of FedEx label with this problem. However, there really doesn't appear to be a problem. This poster also went back and retried printing as discussed below, and it work fine.
I opened the file with latest version Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, which is the free reader everyone basically uses. Clicked on Print without doing any rotation or changes, with Size=Actual, and only changed the Orientation setting to Landscape. This was then sent to a standard laser printer, and it correctly printed horizontally on the top half of the 8.5" x 11" sheet. While not centered (as the free reader has no margin or crop controls), it still would work just fine with a FedEx/UPS half sheet adhesive label. If you increase the Scale (for my printer is was 115%), you can get the label to center properly and look nice.
I am wondering whether many of those that can’t do this, are not using Adobe. Both ebay and PayPal shipping are sort of picky about using Adobe for shipping labels. Yes, the label lays on its side, but that is of no consequence, as there is no orientation requirement, and you can always just rotate it when applying it to the package.
Try saving and opening your file directly with Adobe. If that works, consider there can be issues when an ebay/PayPal label opens within a browser Adobe window, instead of an external one (a setting in the browser).

This works! Only difference is that if I only have half a sheet left I have to rotate it 180 degrees from normal when printing USPS.

@houseopain While a fix would be nice, none is really needed. See my post #77 on this board.

You don't have to manipulate it at all, just correctly set the Adobe print options. Yes, the old format was horizontal to begin with, but it was a completely different looking label formatted only for the half sheet. The current format works for both half sheet and for 4"x6" label printers.
The old large half sheet format may still be available on the FedEx website, but most all online venues that print them use the 4"x6" format.

Has to problem actually been fixed. If it has let me know the solution. I use the same 8.5 x 11 labels cut in half so they are 8.5 x 5.5. They work for UPS and USPS labels. But with FedEx label I have to change the page orientation from the printer drop down menu then go to finishing and select rotate 180 degrees. If if forget the change it when I print the UPS of USPS label I waste a label because it prints in the FedEx orientation.

I had this issue for months. Here is what I did:
1. Switch from pint as PDF to PNG image
2. Make sure the 2 per sheet format is selected.
3. Once the print menu pops up change the orientation to the correct.
4. Set the scale to 35%.
Its a real pain if you ship alot FedEx (which i do). I finally upgraded to a thermal label printer. Money well spend.

*** SOLUTION ***
Here is what worked for me.
1) Rotate clockwise three times
2) Change the scale of the print to be 120%
3) Portrait mode
4) Print.
End result = Label printed on half a page and looks normal.

@Anonymous Unfortunately that doesn't work with Chrome and HP printers.

@dtexley3 For Chrome or any other browser, you need to open the file with the latest version Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, and not the browser's built in reader. Click on Print then set Size=Actual, and change the Orientation setting to Landscape. Also to help center, set the Scale to 115%.
