In September, I shipped an unframed art print, i.e. a piece of paper via Fedex. Label charge should have been $13.80, I was charged $142.29 on my Ebay invoice. Fedex is showing the dimensions as 54x39x3, when in fact the dimensions were 18x14x1, but Fedex does not check dimensions when you give them a package to ship.
I was told to wait 2 billing cycles to see if EBay could get this corrected with Fedex.
Needless to say, no money has appeared. As far as I can tell, I have no recourse but to post complaints to every website, government agency and anyone else I can find and recommend to all, DO NOT USE FEDEX.
With the amount of packages shipped via Fedex through Ebay I would think they could recover my money. At the very least they should consider doing away with Fedex as a shipper; I ended up paying $142.29 to ship a $200.00 piece of paper.

eBay overcharged me on Fedex shipping label.
I used accurate measurement 3lbs weight and I purchased the Fedex smart post label paid $14.16 as indicated. On my recent bill ebay has billed me $80 plus to my account.
When I contacted Fedex, the people I spoke to said I need ebay’s billing address, had no clue what she was blabbing. The second person said they need ebay to contact them, since they need their billing account details. I contacted Ebay many times. Ebay is not quite helpful.
I am very disappointed. Ebay has the responsibility to get the over charged money back to us and protect us from abuse, help stop the wrong doing, we need all work together to have this resolved. For me, I never trust Fedex any more.

EBAY does NOT help with FEDEX daytime overcharge. You get only standard EBAY replies but not money nor credit back.
If EBAY takes 10% from any shipping paid then why Fedex somehow special ?
2020 with Covid19 no phone support although phone is not contagious working from home.

i put CORRECT dimension -- FEDEX ignored actual size and overbilled 3 times by putting their imaginary/fake size !

HAVING SAME PROBLEM, shipped three pairs of shoes in three different packages, that weighed 2 pounds each, it said 8 bucks each to ship, check my invoice the next month and they billed for 22 each, and Ebay says theyll help but fedex makes up an excuse, fedex said the package weighed 18 pounds each, one pair of shoes in a shoebox weighs 18 pounds EBAY SHOULD BE ASHAMED

Hi @usedtech404, while eBay isn't able to adjust the FedEx charge, we are able to help submit an inquiry to FedEx if it seems like there is an issue with the calculations. It sounds like you've already contact Customer Service about this, but I also wanted to share a related Knowledge Base article that has some more detail on this topic: Why was I charged more on my invoice for a FedEx label than the original estimate?

Trinton,
Please try and understand what most of the people on this board is saying. We have read the article you have linked twice now about Fedex estimates versus actual charges. We DO understand that there is an occasional change in fee based on fuel surcharges and such. However....this is NOT the scenario being discussed. Here is the issue in summary. (Trinton.....please read carefully so that you can understand):
Fedex's own measuring system has the ability for an error, and occasionally Fedex mis-measures a package and charges the mis-measured dimensional price to the ebay seller's account. Not an ideal situation....but we all understand that mistakes happen. Here is the real issue. THERE IS NOT A SYSTEM WITHIN EBAY THAT ALLOWS A SELLER TO DISPUTE A FEDEX CHARGE. When we call ebay customer service, we are told that they will note the issue and relay it to Fedex. When we call Fedex, they say to call ebay. Nothing ever gets resolved. I have spent countless hours trying to get a $40 overcharge fixed. And after reading the many complaints, I truly believe a class-action lawsuit is coming. So all of you ebay sellers.....keep good records of your overcharges. You will get them back in the lawsuit 5 or 10 years from now.
Ebay....please hear this: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE hire a manager to put a system in place to dispute Fedex overcharges. In my last call to fed-ex, they admitted that it looks like a gross error in dimensional input....but to fix it, we have to call ebay. Ebay says there is nothing they can do but let fed-ex know. This falls on ebay. Please pass this problem along to your management. Thank you for listening.

I don't understand why paople would choose to use FedEx , they have such a reputation for doing this.
Frankly if I HAD to use FedEx I would only do so by going to the terminal and paying with cash (no check or credit card). I am always very carefull when figuring postage and have never had an adjustment with USPS or with UPS. I would and do trust them with my funding information, I find nothing trustworthy about the way FedEx works.
