Did you mean:

FedEx shipping.

I tried FedEx shipping for the first time. Absolute nightmare. Buyer wanted fast shipping, so I used FedEx two-day shipping. I dropped the package off on a Tuesday (the same day as the sale). Package disappeared, no scan until Thursday, finally delivered on Monday. So much for two days. Luckily my buyer was understanding. I will never use FedEx again. Contacting their "customer service" was useless. Sellers beware

Re: FedEx shipping.

did you literally just drop it off, like in a drop box or just left it on the counter?

OR did you get a scan and receipt?

I have used Fedex for decades with very very few issue's

one thing to note a 2-day shipment on Thursday will be a Monday delivery UNLESS you specifically purchased Saturday delivery. weekends do not count, neither do holidays.

Same for "overnight" shipped on a Friday, will also be a Monday delivery unless Saturday delivery was purchased.
The same goes for UPS. even red tag unless you choose Saturday delivery

Also in most cases a USPS "express" will not make it there overnight unless you hand it over to them by 10am and get lucky, otherwise it is 2-3 days

Re: FedEx shipping.

You won't hear me crying real tears over your decision to can FedEx.  I avoid FedEx deliveries whenever possible when buying.

I'll pay the extra shipping not to get a filthy (as in I won't bring it into the house) package.

Sometimes it can't be avoided but I'll buy from another seller for more cost than not have to deal with FedEx..................

Re: FedEx shipping.

I have a feeling you dropped off at fedex authorized store.

These are mom and pop shops.

If i used fedex I would only use Fedex locations such as Fedex store, or desperation Fedex On Site ( found in Walgreens).  These locations scan on the spot and never had issues getting it moving.

But using third party business like "fedex authorized" you are bound to get boned.

Re: FedEx shipping.

Unfortunately, if any carrier is going to screw things up it is Fedex.    I do have to admit that the vast majority of items get through just fine.    But of the items I have sent that get damaged or lost it is Fedex.

But still, for larger, heavier items Fedex is the cheapest for regular shipping.

It's kind of like any risk for selling things on ebay.    There is small but real risk of losing your items through theft, dishonesty of buyers, etc.

There are so many threads of sellers saying they will never use fedex again, never sell on ebay again, etc.       because of a sale going south.     It happens and goes with the territory.
