Has anyone had this happen to them? On multiple labels, I purchased a FedEx label for the correct dimensions and weight. Delivery was fine, but I was upcharged significantly on final invoice billing. In each case, the information I entered and the package information from FedEx - available by clicking on the label cost in the shipping label screen - matches. But the other numbers don't seem to be coming from the same universe. The major difference is that the discount amount dropped significantly, but all of the numbers are different. Here is an example (actual shipping number removed):
Estimated Shipping Cost: $8.26
Orig Wt: 3.0; Orig Dims: 11.0x9.0x4.0 in;
Base rate: $13.68; Resi: $3.00; Fuel: $0.54; Disc: -$8.96;
Actual Shipping Cost: $12.34
Bill Wt: 3.0; Bill Dims: 11.0x9.0x4.0 in;
Base rate: $11.98; Resi: $3.80; Fuel: $0.81; Disc: $4.25;
Anyone else seeing this, and have you been able to get a good resolution?

dr,k you are going to have to hammer on ebay to get a refund.
Ebay FedEx has been riddled with various problems from the beginning. Plus since ebay is the shipper of record you can not deal directly with FedEx for even the simplest problems. Worse, is ebay has no clear protocol for handling FedEx issues.

rain....... you need to check the dimensions to be sure you aren't just seeing dimensional weight rather than actual weight.

I don't know where those numbers in the Estimated Shipping cost are coming from ... for example, FedEx has never had a $3.00 residential delivery charge ... it goes up every year, and went from 2.90 in 2014 to 3.10 in 2015. Maybe those are UPS numbers.
The second set of numbers look correct for a 3 pound FedEx Ground shipment in 2019.

Hello,
Just went through my invoice and it was alarming. Fedex had overcharged me roughly 187 dollars above what was quoted ($72.00) on the eBay website. I have sent eBay a message because they are not taking calls. hopefully this will get resolved. I have actually lost money on those packages. Not cool

san-elite This why having ebay in the middle as shipper of record is a problem. Best to ship from the FedEx site. You can then keep tracking of every charge as it is made and challenge it directly with FedEx.
Good luck hammering on ebay to fix this. Make sure you get all your details together first and recheck your weights and dimensions to see where the error lies.

What are the details of the shipment?
