FedEx has taken a hit from losing the Amazon business last year ... they are doing a lot to attract new customers and increase volume.
Personally, I've had more negative experiences with FedEx than with UPS, USPS, DHL, and Amazon Shipping combined.

I just shipped a 5 lb package a few days ago using FedEx Home delivery.
It cost almost half of what USPS was charging and the package shows tracking moving right along every day so far.
I've been using FedEx SmartPost off and on over the years without any problems.

FedEx and USPS still work together the last I knew
I love to see everyone leave Amazon! They became to big in a short amount of time. We all know they have paid politicians and have received huge tax breaks that cost us tax payers. I have seen some negative stories lately on the news (used diapers). That is not right at all!
No one needs a package that bad unless it is related to a personal medical issue!
Everyone needs to slow down!

We have been loyal customers of USPS for many years now, but this new FedEx 7 days delivery sounds intriguing. I would like to know where to get supplies for FedEx shipments. We have only USPS and UPS in our vicinity. Would FedEx deliver such supplies as boxes and envelopes, if we would call them, or do they have those supplies at their drop-off stations, for example, at LeTarget?

I have been using FedEx for years. As far as I know the only free supplies they offer is for Express/Overnight shipments. For regular ground you can use any common box. Just don't try to use USPS boxes.

Fedex has actually reported higher profit margins since they dropped their contract with Amazon.
Amazon by far has the worst shipping. I receive well over 50% of my items damaged from Amazon. I wont even buy something that can possibly be broken from them anymore. Id rather pay more and get it in good shape.
I have been shipping Fedex since 2005. I have found they are above average as a whole compared to other shipping services. In the end, they all have the potential to be ruff. As a seller, we have a responsibility to pack our items well.

LOL, Most of the time FedEx just slaps a door tag on the front of my mailbox in front of my house. We average around 50% damaged, undelivered or delayed delivery with FedEx here. With USPS and UPS I have only had 1 damaged package each (both were poorly packed) and no delays.
I have only shipped 3 items through FedEx. Sending broken cell phones back to Verizon's insurance. Though they were pre-paid FedEx wanted $11.45 to pick them up (USPS has free carrier pick-up). All three were lost in the FedEx system.
Thanks but no thanks, I will continue to avoid FedEx like the plague. You maybe OK if it is in a urban area and going to a urban area, but for small towns and rural areas I'll stick with USPS and UPS.

Yes Amazon packing is c**p. I do buy several items from Amazon like my poly sleeves for LP's. It is hard to find them on other sites in the quantity I want, but Amazon will put these floppy 12"x12"x1/2" packages in a 24"x18"x5" box every time. Heck this is something that it would be fine to just slap a label on.

I don't know about now, but months ago, I was told by a FedEx employee that they do not give Free shipping supplies like USPS does.
I did however, get a promotional packet that included assorted sizes of the 'expensive' services boxes and envelopes.

I live in a rural area and basically have the same experience with UPS. Most of my items arrive damaged through UPS. If I ship out it ALWAYS spends 2 days in the nearest hub. I call it my package "vacation" time. I assume they are playing kickball with it since usually the box looks like it went through a nuclear blast by time it arrives at it's location. I absolutely refuse to ship out UPS.
Fedex on the other hand is usually reliable and I rarely have to file a damage claim.

It is interesting how each sellers experiences differ. We have had only 1 problem shipment with FedEx over all our years selling here, otherwise they have provided excellent service. Their tracking is FAR superior to USPS! On the other hand as a buyer, UPS service where we live is not very good. It seems almost every package we get delivered to us from UPS is always beat up in some way and it is a miracle that most things get to us undamaged.
