Fake Tracking Number

They got me!  Fake  Tracking Number and e-bay will not give me a refund.   I think Im  done with e-bay..  Seller has had way to many complaints about 'Fake Tracking' Numbers and e-bay still lets them keep our money..

I am in a case right now with the same problem. UPS told me That the tracking number provide by seller was not shipped and addressed to me but ebay asked me today to provide evidence from UPS. I try but they refused because of security reasons and because I am not the shipper. This is a perfect scam because ebay just look delivered to the same city and zipcode and thats it. My "package" was also sent from another state very very far from sellers location. Its frustrating!

You won't need the address where it was fake-delivered; that's private. Just chat online with UPS, for UPS to simply confirm that it was NOT sent to you:

Hi UPS,

My name/address is:

Lithium Moderator

12345 Khoros

Austin TX

Is that the name/address on UPS tracking number 1ZxxxXXXxxx?

Then screenshot the chat, and send that page to

- your credit card (seller is forced to refund),

- not eBay (eBay pays courtesy refund)

if possible.

Just to let you know that Ebay refunded me for my case. I went to UPS and explained them my problem and how much money I could lose if I can provide evidence so they finally did. Ebay then insist for more documents I refused and insist them to confront the seller with my evidence. Even the shipper of that tracking no. was amazon.com. They finally refunded me. Thank you so much and hope you all have good luck. Dont let you money to scammers, dont give up.

Thanks for the online chat solution. This is the way we are trying for our case but I am worried whether this will work or do they (eBay or credit card company) need something more official? Any successful experience using screenshot?

I think me and my wife also got scammed by the fake UPS tracking number. We tried our local UPS hub but they refused to provide any address and mail-to information due to their privacy policy, and of course not any paperwork. From other threads of eBay forum it seems to me by far people got their refund had some kind of official proof (like an email or a claim report from UPS or Fedex). 

I really hate to lose to these scammers especially in the holiday season.. any advice would be helpful, thanks!
