Haven`t had this type of scam before (I`ve had many others though), but I know it is very popular among professional scammers.
Four days after a package was delivered to French Canada, I got a hysterical message (a brand new user) that she received missing article/empty box, and that she would leave NEGATIVE (all in caps) if I don`t give her missing article. No name for the "missing article", must be copy/paste to other sellers as well.
She wrote that she sent two messages before, and she is very, very (twice) disappointed that no response to the date. No messages was received, inbox messages don`t have those "two" she "sent" before, the first and only one was only four days after delivery.
To look even more "truthful", she left a phone number, but the whole message to a seller in the US was in French. I don`t speak French, and not many sellers in the US do. I doubt she speaks English, otherwise would had written in English in the first place. Failed communication, but sure looks good like she is really "urgently awaiting for my response (google translated that from her message as well).
The whole theatrical scene with lies made me amused. At first, I gave her benefit of the doubt that she didn`t translate correctly what she purchased, and she assumed there was something more than pictured, but the "two previous messages" she claimed she sent - that she thought would explain why she wrote me only four days after receiving the package, assured me that it is a scam by someone who creates accounts on different platforms and uses "empty box" scam.
Have you been scammed by this type of professional scammers who selected their pathway in "empty box" legend?

Ebay has become well known as a place where you can get stuff for free. Selling odd, not as easy to convert to cash items can stop some but not all of it. Popular high value items are very risky to sell over-seas.

I sure blocked Canada, our neighbors think it is ok to complain or scam the rich neighbor. I`ve had the most hectic experiences/scams with many of them during the years, so no more after this "empty box scam".
