Did you mean:

Ebay generated International label not printing today: "Insufficient data for an image" ??

When you open a PDF file in Acrobat or Acrobat Reader, the following error message is displayed: “Insufficient data for an image.”  This is for printing an Ebay generated International label sent to KY only.  All other USPS shipping labels USA and International printed fine today.  In the past when I used this service of shipping, the label printed sideways on the top half and left the bottom half blank.  It still printed fine.  Did Ebay change something I don't know about?

I hope not. Technically, the Adobe software (Acrobat or Acrobat Reader) is saying that it thinks it's receiving an image, but cannot decode it or render it properly for viewing or printing. This used to be a more common problem in the past when compressed files were not properly padded with Null values to the end of the last line of image data, but I thought that was mostly addressed years ago. (I used to work for a subsidiary of Adobe.)

Just to rule out problems at your end, can you try printing the label again from a different machine?

Adobe offers this help on their site for people encountering that error message, if this will be useful:

Re: Ebay generated International label not printing today: "Insufficient data for an image"

Thanks for the reply.  I did try the solutions given at their website and still the same message appears.  I only have the one device and one printer.   I went ahead and sent the International package using USPS and not the Ebay International KY way and the label printed fine.  Had to pay $3 more but it will go out today.  I won't be charged for the unprinted label since it won't be scanned.  Also the option to void the label it not available for the Ebay International service.  So now both tracking numbers will appear for the buyer to see but only one will be scanned today.  I will explain that one to the buyer.   I do remember the "null" word showing up in address boxes years ago.

when I get weird problems like this, I clear my cache.  If that doesn't work, I reboot my computer.

Re: Ebay generated International label not printing today: "Insufficient data for an image"

UPDATE 1/4/22.  I had another Ebay International standard shipping label to print today and it printed just fine.  The address is sending it to PA whereas all of the previous labels I have ever printed were sent to KY.  Maybe I was trying to print a label at the very same time they were changing to a new address??

Re: Ebay generated International label not printing today: "Insufficient data for an image"

UPDATE 1/10/22.  The initial country that was giving me problems with this on 1/3/22 was Brazil.  I was not able to print the Ebay standard International shipping label.  Today I had a different buyer from Brazil and the label did not print.  Got the message again:"Insufficient data for an image".  I was able to print a USPS First Class Mail International for the order just like I did for the first one.  So far all other countries print fine using the Ebay standard International shipping service.  Maybe there is something in the Brazil address that is creating the problem?
