Sure there is. Replace your "no return policy" with a return policy ... returning items is now the overwhelming mindset of buyers.
Buyers expect to be able to return things. So, if you will not give them an honest path to do it, then most buyers know that they tell a white lie and get a return ... and eBay will support the buyer because they want satisfied customers. It is simply the environment of eBay, and you gotta embrace it if you want to keep your sanity while selling here.
(Because it causes so much angst, I expect eBay to eliminate the "no return" option for most categories in the next year).

GOOD TO KNOW .THE NEXT TIME I BUY SOMETHING KEEP IT A MONTH THEN DECIDE I DON'T REALLY WANT IT THE I CAN JUST SAY IT WASN'T WHAT I ORDERED AND MAKE THE SELLER PAY TO RETURN IT !!!!! BUYERS SHOULD ALL DO THAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Yeah bummer.
My SNAD ratio is I get a real one for about every 4 fake ones.
75% of my returns are fake.
Still better than 100%....and sales still make the costs somewhat tolerable but not forever.

I am running into a moronic buyer right now. First he claimed the item didn't match the description which was false. I called him out on it. So he made a different claim that the installation wasn't done properly which was also false. eBay then sent me a notice that the buyer could return the item at my expense. I've been selling and buying on ebay for years and never ran a buyer like this. ebay will not get another penny from me if they let this buyer get away with this.

Doesn't actually matter if one has a return policy or not. I offer returns on almost every item I sell but buyers always choose "defective" or some other phony reason when we both know they just changed their mind. The creator of this thread is correct. Buyers are legally allowed to scam sellers no matter what. Them's the breaks of eBay. Oh well I still make money even with USPS's exorbitant shipping price increases. All in the game I guess.

OP just a few suggestions.
This feedback is not a good idea for a few reasons. First if the buyer reports it to eBay it will be removed and you will be given a warning from eBay.
Yes, buyers lie sometimes. No one likes it but just deal with it without making yourself look unprofessional. And I wouldn't type in all caps including title and item description - it is harder for buyers to read. JMO.

That false positive you left doesn't hurt the buyer at all.
Now, it hurts you, makes you look like a seller who can't follow the rules.
If the buyer reports it, you get in trouble, not them.

The only way you had to pay for return shipping on the wrong item sent was because you didn't claim it was the wrong item in the return process. eBay always supports the buyer if you file the right type of claim. Why do you think sellers are complaining about liar buyers?

The worst ones are selling to Russia. They buy the wrong parts, and then break them and expect me to cover the freight both ways, knowing full well I will refund rather than wasting money. Ebay idiots send me a Indian based dumb reply stating i should claim against USPS. Don't they know their own policy that all Ebay shipments have to be claimed by Ebay, not the seller. They act dumb to frustrate us , and penalize when we chose not to ship to that customer. I wish their was a viable alternative to Ebay as they are getting worse.

Oh don't get me started on their biased business ethics !!! Ebay just RIPPED me off AGAIN too! I NEVER minded offering returns until Ebay stuck their nose into my business. It finally got to the point where I had no control in my own store because Ebay was dictating I would accept ALL returns and that is NOT what I wanted. Returns were an ALL or NOTHING choice so I replaced Returns Accepted to No Returns. Well so much for that because, as you said, buyers are well aware how to get their money back by using the ITEM NOT AS DESCRIBED ticket. In this case I contacted customer service and they confirmed the item WAS as described and the buyers return request would be denied...OK so all the buyer had to do then is to escalate the claim with the resolutions dept and !BOOM! the is return authorized. The resolution dept has the easiest job on the planet...they are programmed to APPROVE buyers claims and DENY sellers claims, and without missing a beat, they automatically authorized the buyers return. Not only that, but they took the money out of MY BANK, without permission, and reimbursed the buyer for the purchase price, the original shipping, AND the return shipping!!! Sellers DO NOT have any rights in this biased company and no protection what-so-ever! After 12 years of selling I've had it with the abuse. I am so ready to close my doors and list my store for sale or go to a company that actually cares about their sellers. Does anyone out there sell from an honest and healthy site??? Please let me know.
