I am hearing (internet chatter) that the USPS will not accept Ebay Managed Payments screenshots as proof of item price when making an insurance claim for a lost package. I hear they are rejecting the claim because they are saying that Ebay is not a money processor (like Paypal). Is this true or false? Has any MP sellers won an USPS insurance claim for a lost package using Ebay MP screenshots? If so, what exact page did you use as proof in your insurance claim?

When you refund the buyer take a screenshot of the page that shows the amount refunded. If you already refunded then go to the order details page and take a screenshot of that page as it will show the amount refunded. That's all USPS needs to see. Make sure the screenshot includes the full page, not just the refund total.

I filed claim for lost package using USPS.com and attached copy of EBAY invoice. USPS mailed refund check about 3 weeks later.

I don't know what you mean as an "MP Screenshot". What to do is prove your case by providing as much evidence as possible as if you were to convince a Judge at a bench trial. 1) A screenshot of the eBay Invoice with transaction ID and the Item number (NB: these are 2 different numbers, provide and show both). 2) A screenshot of the auction / sales page showing the picture of the item, date item ended, item number. 3) Screenshots or digital pictures of the item that you sold-----show that these pictures are also listed on the eBay sales page. 4) The USPS tracking number (a physical receipt showing the USPS is in possession is even better) that links this package with the eBay Invoice and Sales page. Be prepared to show both digital uploads of this information, and actual physical hard-copy print outs as well. Never give an inch.
Can't speak for the USPS, but only once did it happen with FedEx. After providing both the on-line and physical print-out evidence, a check was sent in 14 days. USPS may be somewhat longer, no surprise. Good Luck.

I submitted for a damaged claim to USPS, they would NOT accept Ebay MP as a legit proof of payment, where they would accept PayPal in the past. I appealed every time possible and the "reason" they denied was that I did not submit an authorized proof of payment. I showed the payment and the refund, they didn't care.
if an item is LOST, they are giving refunds more readily.

That's odd since the buyer's payment would be through Paypal, ApplePay, GooglePay or through a credit card that is processed by one of those.

Show them the listing with sale price.

The one and only time I had to file a USPS insurance claim, that's what I used - a printout of the sold item page.

It depends on who the USPS claims adjuster is. USPS is just getting used to Ebay's Managed Payments. It may take time for USPS to fully accept MP screenshots as proof of value, but they should ultimately do so if enough sellers complain.
