Do this happen to you much? Them USPS drivers (IF NOT REGULAR DRIVER WHO DO GREAT) they just grab packages and go. Some drove around with packages up to 4 days before turning in. Lazy local post office may or may not scan the packages and same for Memphis PO. You then get an UNREMOVABLE defect I figure FEEBAY looking for a way to demote you from TOP RATED SELLER so they can charge more fees.
Also the rhetorical question: IS they "SUPPOSED TO SCAN" packages picked up from a mailbox????????????????? I get different answers at different POST OFFICES. One lady said she just filling in and was usually a driver and would lose her job if she did not scan picked up packages. Ain't true my my local post office 😞

Right on the label prep page, a seller can choose a delayed shipping date up to 3 days in advance. For instance if a seller wants to prepare his packages promptly but only goes to the PO twice per week. Also, if a label is purchased on a Sunday or holiday, the date automatically advances to the next business day.
That's true, but does choosing a later shipping date when buying the label actually extend your Handling time?
I can print a label today (Wednesday) that's dated for this coming Friday, but my 1-day Handling time normally expects me to have a USPS scan by the end of Thursday. Is there actually some mechanism that will not start the Handling clock ticking before the shipping date of the label?

Hi @rosemary6525 - best suggestions I can offer:
1. Start using a SCAN sheet. Even some of the more lazy carriers will scan the SCAN sheet when they won't scan individual packages.
2. Extend your handling time, but keep shipping quickly. That will give you a cushion if your packages don't get scans right away.
3. If you have continued problems, speak with your postmaster about it.
Also you mentioned MEMPHIS which is a USPS hub notorious for shipping delays, so if that's your nearest sort facility then you need to do everything you can to make sure you get scans at your local PO or by your local carrier.

Yes Rosemary start using the scan sheet, which you can get right here on eBay after you purchse the day's labels. My mailman scans it every time he comes, and even the substitutes that work on weekends or when he is absent scan it. I use it even if I have only one package going out, because for whatever reason my mailman claims he cannot scan packages themselves.
Would you like a tutorial on how to get a scan sheet?

That's something that has always chafed my shorts. If I look at my Manage All Orders page, I can see every item that I shipped that day, with its tracking number, etc., and each with a checkbox and an Actions column that could (but currently does not) have an Action defined for "Add to SCAN Sheet" or similar wording. You would check the box for each item in your outgoing batch, then scroll back up to the Shipping pulldown menu just above the column headings, and select the (currently non-existent) "Print SCAN Sheet" option.
Coding this really should not be a difficult undertaking: all the data for the SCAN sheet is already displayed on the page, and there is an Actions column and supporting code to allow another option to be added, and yet in all these years no one has ever done the work. That's disappointing.

Yes, they should enable that. But I’m so used to using the bulk page at this point, it would be awkward for me not to. And it also does auto detect purchase is going to the same address and offer to combine them, which is nice, then you don’t have to copy and paste the tracking into The secondary packages.

Without question.
I mean, 9/11 happened on 9/11, right?

That would be an enhancement worth raising fees for, rather than the AI crap.
