For some reason that they couldn't answer, GSP wouldn't work on an item that is not blocked for shipping to Finland. CSR suggested I use eBay International Shipping (EIS). Why not? Package arrive at Redondo Beach, CA location on 6-9-21, one day after shipping on eBay generated label. It's now 10 days later and the package hasn't moved since arriving there.
Called eBay on 6-17-21. CSR (Overseas) gives me these excuses. 1) Takes time to reach foreign destination. Told her it can't reach a destination without being shipped. Excuse 2) It may have missed a scan. Told her it would have to miss numerous scans after 8 days. Excuse 3) Delayed by COVID. Told her that that was utterly ridiculous. Made her attach a note concerning this on my record. She said eBay would send me an email on it. You know how that goes! Empty promises are our livelihood.
Checked the address on Google. It belongs to Mapcargo. I called Mapcargo. A **bleep**'er there tells me that they just receive the packages for another company and they pick it up and ship it. Really??? eBay is dealing with a company based in a homeless shelter that can't even afford an address? I'm about to start deluging eBay customer service with calls until I get a US CSR that can connect me with someone who actually gives a dam (deliberate).
Thank you again eBay, for providing your sellers with a "memorable" experience.

Update! I just spent another 21 minutes and 8 seconds on the line with CSR, bringing the total waste of my time on this to 46 minutes and 22 seconds with eBay on this matter. Add to this another 6 minutes and 13 seconds with Mapcargo on the 17th.
This contact was with a Pacific Islander named Herman. I'm really sure that's his real name and pigs can fly. Herman promised me that "logistics" will contact me by email tomorrow. I'm not planning on sleeping tonight in anticipation of receiving that promised email. Maybe it will arrive along with the email I was promised on the 17th. I did learn from Herman that the item "will be shipped" by DHL. That indicates to me that the moron at Mapcargo was being evasive and thus lying when he told me that they don't ship the item and that another company pick items up and ships them. They will receive another call from me on Monday.
AGAIN! STAY AWAY FROM EBAY INTERNATIONAL STANDARD SHIPPING.

Doesn't this actually agree with what Mapcargo said ? Another company will pick it up and ship it ? DHL
That said, what a complete muck around you have had, hope you sort it and yeah keep hounding them!

Please do not waste any more time 'calling' ebay. The consensus here on the forums is that they are entirely useless these days and are notorious for providing false information or simply telling people what they want to hear simply to get them off the phone quicker.
Fortunately there is a good alternative: contact ebay via their official Facebook page. I've heard many great success stories of actually reaching people who can and will help you with an issue/case.

The guy at Mapcargo actually said that they had nothing to do with eBay shipments.

It would seem that since the package got there, and stayed, he may have been correct - that they have nothing to do with ebay shipments - the packages just go there to 'retire'.

This is another reason why sellers should handle their own international shipping through the post office. As soon as you add in a middle man handling the package it all goes down South fast if something goes wrong. Don't ever call ebay customer support use ebay for business on Facebook and get better trained reps who are quick to respond. Sounds like you connected with the overseas call center which I hear can be pretty poor in the way of help. I'd never call them.

I have shipped several items through EIS, so far no problems. I don't know, I don't check on it every step of the way as I know it takes a long time. I think you are making more work for yourself.

I too have had good experiences with eBay International Shipping. Recently I was trying to ship a silver coin to Mother Russia and I used EIS to do so. Unbeknownst to me recent UN sanctions against Tsar Putin the First prohibit the sale of precious metals (including coins) to Russia. Luckily for me EIS caught it and sent it back to me, and when I researched why they would do such a thing realized how lucky I was the Secret Service wasn't at my front doorstep the next day asking me why I was potentially committing a serious crime!

New update! After receiving no promised emails from eBay or Mapcargo, I went to the DHL web site and entered the International tracking number and it now shows that the package is on its way to Finland as of yesterday 6-21-21. It took 12 days from receipt at Mapcargo for the package to start moving. This is nothing resembling acceptable! eBays tracking shows nothing but delivery to Mapcargo and has not been updated to show its international travel.
Had I known that eBays carrier on International Standard Shipping was DHL, I would never have sent it through them. I have had three bad experiences with them. In two of the cases, the senders refunded my money after three attempts to send packages to me. In all three cases, the packages arrived looking like they had been dragged to my house behind the truck. Torn boxes, missing parts, bent parts.
It would appear that Mapcargo is a DHL pick up location and that neither Mapcargo or eBay give a dam about their customers (We already knew about eBay, right?).
AGAIN, DO NOT USE EBAY INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING UNLESS YOU ENJOY GRIEF, ANXIETY, AND ANGER!

It takes forever for ebay or whoever they hire to do the job process shipments. My packages can sit at Kentucky center or Melrose Park, IL for a month or two. Also, ebay doesn`t provide tracking for all packages it sends. Most of the times, you can track them on https://parcelsapp.com/en/carriers/easyship , but some (mostly in Europe) don`t have delivery scan, tracking stops at an airport. I am talking about ebay international standard shipping, which supposed to have full tracking for all packages, but it s not.
Try tracking your package on the website I provided and be patient, as this shipping method is very slow most of the time. I don`t see a reason for a package to sit at ebay`s logistics center for a month or two, but that how it works.
