Hello,
i ordered and paid for a rather expensive set of paints from a seller in Japan with a 100 percent rating.... the payment went through immediately July 17, that Friday I sent a message asking when I can expect it to ship.... I got no response from seller, but an email from EBay stating it has shipped. But now days and days later, the delivery estimate continues to say "Null" and the tracking number doesn't seem to be working on EMS (the listed carrier) at USPS, its been saying "Label Created" since I've recieved the email from eBay. I'm nervous for a few reasons- 1. This was my first (and expensive) purchase on EBay and I was apprehensive to begin with- 2. I've been noticing all this stuff about opening claims have to be done within 30 days of the estimated delivery date.....and my date is "Null"
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Two things:

Hi, thank you for your response. Unfortunately, there is no delivery estimate anywhere, even when I click the track package. I've even gone to check the shipping email sent from eBay.
I called eBay and they informed me they would contact seller and ask him to contact me.
When i purchased the the item with the "buy now" option- I KNOW the estimate was within July.
Now ebay is telling me they have until August 16th. I never would have purchased If that was the case....as the item I purchased was for use on an artist residency I am attending.
So now I'm afraid I have to wait until August 16th to not receive my item and only then can I file a refund claim? And if 30 day delivery windows are the norm (despite what is listed when viewing the item) I do not have time to purchase and wait another possible 30 days for delivery.
Im hoping this is all just technical/international shipping issues with tracking. But I'm getting really worried about not getting it. And pretty annoyed that the estimated shipping jumped from a week or two- to a month. (this new estimated date still isn't even listed on item- just an email EBay sent)
Perhaps this is why i was apprehensive to shop eBay in the first place lol.

The August 16th date came via Email from eBay. After I spoke to them on the phone and they too realized there was no date.

When you go to your purchase history, are you able to see an "Item not received" button, or an option in the drop down list? If so, then select that to begin the returns process.

@orangehound Hi and thank you for your help.. I didn't know if it was too soon to do that or if I should wait it out longer to see if it's just technical scanning issues.... Would you definitely do this if you were experiencing this with a purchase you made over a week ago?
Id like to give the benefit of doubt/ but am nervous, hence this discussion topic.
Thanks again.

If I'm ordering a $300 item and (a) it hasn't arrived after a month, (b) tracking does not show it is on the way, and (c) the seller is not responding to me, then I'm filing for an item not received.
The seller says he ships in 5 days with 14 day delivery (19 days total), and you are well beyond this date. This looks to me like the seller is absent, out-of-stock, or the package is lost.

This is what you should see in your purchase history.

But if eBay has given the OP an estimated delivery date of August 16 (albeit via eBay messages), wouldn't they "reject" or (deny or stall or whatever) her INR?

She ordered it on July 17. How is she "well beyond this date?" 17 + 19 = 36, or August 5 (depending on whether eBay counts the first day/last day). Today is July 25--only eight days after she ordered it.

I'm brain dead today ... I thought that the shipment date was June 16. 😞

Hi guys. I realize I'm not too far into the process, but with it being allegedly shipped 5 days ago- I had hoped for some sort of tracking. And the Delivery estimate not being listed anywhere like you all describe (or pictured) is uncomforting. Add the lack of responses from seller...:I'm worried. Perhaps jumping the gun because it's over 300 dollars. But now ive looked into the seller further....on one page he's located in Japan, on another he's loacted in the US......
i probably shouldn't have made my first eBay purchase on something so expensive, and something I wasn't in desperate need of.
