Delivery Estimate Date - Can you Change it?

I have a sold item that has gone beyond the delivery estimate. I am looking to figure out how that can be changed in the future. What determines that estimate & can it be changed?

Ebay estimates the delivery date based on the method of shipping and your handling time.

You could extend your handling time on future listings.

Is extending the Handling the only way to do so? USPS has been delaying mail of all classes as a matter of policy while they raise their rates. Hope ebay takes that into account.

USPS has NOT been doing any such thing as a matter of any policy. USPS announced that 1st Class will go from 2-5 Business days to now 3-7 as a permanent thing; and eBay has adjusted for that change. 

Anyway, yes; extending handling time helps. It's the only way. 

But..know that if you use 5 days and ship fairly consistent in 2 or 3, the 'estimated deliveries will still show sooner than they should. There is no fix except time and don't ship until the 5th day etc.
