Wanted to check in with other sellers to see if anyone has experienced an increase in delayed tracking updates for USPS shipments (24hr+ delays). I personally have. I suspect covid-19 may be impacting this although I don’t know for sure. If this is the case I definitely understand and will deal with it, I hope my buyers understand as well. I have a buyer who is watching the tracking vigilantly and is asking me about the status (dropped it off 2 days ago, Monday afternoon).

Yes,,we ship many usps a day. Many of my USPS packages delay 1-3 days.. About 20-30%

I am in Jersey and am having problems with shipping tracking is taking 3 days to even show received. I have to schedule pick ups with USPS as we are not supposed to be out and about. I send apologies to my buyers and reassure them items have shipped. Mine is Pandemic related.

Yes. I used USPS scheduled pickup, for the first time, Monday. Saw the mail man take my package. That package has no scans showing anywhere. Even checked with my Post Master this morning and she could not find any tracking updates either.
I really wanted to avoid standing in line at the post office to get that acceptance scan, but I can't leave my buyers hanging like this.

There is a sorting facility near me that is usually pretty good about scanning in packages in timely manner. They process mail 24/7. The front counter is only open during normal business hours but there are employees on the other side of the wall who come to accept & scan the packages from the drop off every 2 hours or so.
I told myself that if I’m going to keep my store open through covid-19 I’m only going to deal with the sorting facility because I can drop mail off after hours when no one is there. It’s a tough situation for sellers and postal workers alike, I can only hope our buyers will be empathetic with the inevitable delays and late shipments. I hope eBay will have our backs if we get negatives as a result of this.
I’m also wondering if the issue is more technical. The packages could be getting scanned within the normal timeframe but perhaps it just isn’t updating electronically for some reason.

Could be a technical issue. I just spoke with my mail carrier and he told me he definitely remembers scanning my package in when he returned to the PO after completing his route. I contacted my buyer and let them know the current situation with their package. Don't know what else to do...frustrated.

I have a FCM package that's running a bit late. Fortunately, my buyers have all been patient.
I have a buyer who is watching the tracking vigilantly and is asking me about the status (dropped it off 2 days ago, Monday afternoon).
There are some people apparently who don't know how to track their own packages.

Same problem here in N.J. Not knowing if buyer received item because most people leave no feedback. Thinking of pulling items off eBay until this pandemic is over.

Most of my Items Sold Items are Being Delivered 1-2 Days Late because of this Pandemic
Updating, Tracking, Delivery and Latest Scans are all Delayed
I have no Control with the USPS...just expect them to do their part
