Hello all, recently I sold an item which was promptly shipped out. However, the shipping status has been "In Transit to Next Facility, Arriving Late" for the last week with the last known location in Florida. I assume the delay is due to the hurricane that impacted the area. So the buyer just opened a Not Received case. Will eBay favor the buyer and refund them the order even though my package is still in transit?

If you shipped USPS, go online and file for a missing or lost package.
Once you do this, go into the eBay case and add the tracking number.
eBay will usually give extra time for delivery if tracking shows movement.

Check eBay buyer ID to see if buyer is from USA or another country in buyer 'feedbacks'.
Might be a 'freight forward' to another country. I got two this week surprisingly.
Might be where it didn't get scanned as 'delivered' in Florida and now is on the way to another country.
Unless it get scans as 'delivered' not much can be done other than a refund.
I have a number of 'In Transit to Next Facility, Arriving Late'...still open from last year.
But my buyers were honest and didn't ask for a refund and gave positive feedback.

Just an example of my many that I have that never got scanned as 'delivered'.
This one is actually in the USA with tracking.

I have one also. After my buyer contacted I checked the tracking which showed it had arrived in Jacksonville dist center but noted weather delay, well it finally moved to Puerto Rico but now says in transit arriving late. My buyer lives in Jacksonville. 😣
Ebay announced protections for INR due to hurricane issues which states the protections will be automatic. I'm wondering if this works & did your item fall into the hurricane timeframe?

Stay on top of it, notify the buyer that you are following it and the package is still on its way. This has happened to me a few times, and communication to the buyer and giving it a few more days is a very reasonable solution. Let them know they are covered by ebay, and we have plenty of time and they are still covered.
All this "one day after expected delivery" start filing a did not receive is ridiculous, people communicate and show patience, and sellers stay on top of late packages, it goes a long for buyers confidence and satisfaction.

I saw a similar delay in getting a package to PR and it took 12 days via USPS from DFW. That shipment went thru Jacksonville.
(I saw yours was to Jacksonville.)
On another note, anything I have shipped, including today with AMZ Buy Shipping does not even offer USPS yet if it is going to Florida.

Is the destination Miami or Doral @jinnerz.collectiblez ? If it is, follow the advice in this discussion:
