Definite Mail Delivery Slowdown

Hi Guys,

This isn't about anything I haven't received.  This isn't about any specific item.  It's about an issue that's affecting us all.  It's about the fact that there has been a definite mail slowdown ever since this Covid virus thing hit us. 

I know that because there are many, many items I've ordered that haven't arrived in the time they should have.

I'm sure all the Sellers are doing their best to make sure one's purchases are being mailed out in a timely manner, but what I'm asking eBay to do is to look into this issue of a nation-wide, if not a global-wide mail slowdown due to the Coronavirus.

I really don't know what I'm suggesting eBay could do to remedy the situation, but perhaps eBay could make a general announcement to all it's members, and to the global community at large, that there has been a noticeable mail slowdown, and eBay is doing everything in its power to keep everything moving... whatever that may be.

Okay, there's my concern; there's my thoughts on this very important matter.

I hope this msg is seen by the CEOs of eBay.

Maybe there's s nothing someone wants to steal. I am missing several different mask purchases, all my DIFFERENT small spray bottles deliveries, and all my Lysol and alcohol deliveries. They get scanned into post office then nothing. No scans after that.  I work for the post office and I couldn't tell you what's going on.

Most of my shipments are going just fine.  I only had one First Class package that took long enough that the buyer commented to me that USPS must be having some trouble due to Covid-19.  I checked and said, I would guess so.  He didn't blame me.  It arrived the next day.  I'm not seeing a big problem, from my standpoint.

Yesterday, an eBayer reported here that a USPS sorting facility somewhere in Michigan, I think near Detroit, had been shut down.

I am in Chicago Illinois and there have been major delays shipping packages here. First Class and Priority packages I dropped off a week ago haven't even been through the local sorting center yet. My packages aren't scanned until they are processed, so to buyers it looks like I haven't even mailed the package yet. I'm waiting for a flood of complaints and refund requests. Some international packages I sent on Monday were processed normally, so it seems to depend on the type of mail. As other have said this is a local issue, once my packages have been finally processed here, they are delivered the rest of the way normally.

I live in Michigan and the state is on governor stay at home orders.  Michigan is the third highest pandemic state.  I called USPS yesterday in Michigan, and yes the mail is delayed.  There has been a huge backup in deliveries, so I guess it is just the luck of the draw, how soon the packages leave and/or out for delivery.  Some delays could take weeks to deliver.

Yup, same here in NY. At least half of my First Class packages aren't getting scanned at all. Since the tracking just shows "Pre-shipment" it makes it look like I haven't even shipped them yet.
