Hi- I sold an unlocked iPhone and the buyer is claiming the phone is defective and has not been unlocked. I even sent them the unlocked email. They are also claiming they went to a cell phone provider and was told the phone could not be used until it is unlocked. IT IS UNLOCKED! My biggest problem is not the return is it that I paid for expedited shipping to them, paypal fees and now have to pay for the return of a phone that I know is unlocked. I contacted an ebay rep and was told basically to just pay shipping back. This perfectly functioning phone is now costing me a lot of time and money. I have sold 2 other iPhone at the same time and not a single problem with either of them. I have send messages to buyer and they are not responding. Any suggestions what I can do?
Thanks!

@koutashdbz.....ebay needs to make an even fair playing field for buyers and sellers, buyers must have burden of proof for justifying returns......
If you can tell me how anyone, buyer or seller, can 'provide' proof that
A.) it's not a doctored photo
b.) it's not a doctored video
c.) the seller sent a broken item first
d.) the buyer sent back a broken item after they broke it
e.) the seller sent an empty box first
f.) the buyer shipped back an empty box
g.) the seller sent a locked phone and the one that they are going to run to the phone store with is a different phone
h.) the buyer sent back a phone, but a different one

i see your point, but there still needs to be better seller protection against fraud. making the seller responsible for shipping both ways is just nothing but trouble.

I couldn't agree with you more. I've now paid over $20 to sell a $50 dollar item being returned. I'm afraid to receive it back. I did take a ton of photos and have the IMEI number. Thanks for your support. Hope things turn around in support of the seller soon. Good luck!

No, you may not.
