Israel refused package due to covid 19... how to get shipping refund through EBay?

As a buyer if you don't get the item the seller is responsible to make you whole.  As a seller I don't think you can recoup the shipping from Ebay, what did they do?  It was Israel who made the decision.  In the end, shipping is a service and it was used.  It seems you'll have to eat the loss.

It's not safe for people or packages at this time.  International shipping is especially precarious.  I recommend to opt out of the Global Shipping Program until shipping is stable.

I had the same thing happen.  You have to get the refund through USPS.  It gave me the link on the return sticker

Are you a seller and did you actually get the postage you paid to ship something Internationally refunded by the USPS?

If you are concerned COVID-19 on packages, let the package sit for 3 days before opening ... and, the GSP protects sellers and buyers from failed deliveries, so it is the best way for an international seller to protect themselves during the pandemic.

I'm not concerned about covid on the packages, its the ability of a completed delivery to a country that may have closed the airports days after I shipped or have other covid related postage delays.  The list of countries that are unavailable for printing a shipping label changes daily.  I don't want the liability of a single package stuck in the virus vortex.  I'd rather wait until the dust settles.

We have had the same issues with parcels to Israel. Our mail provider (Royal Mail) could see the parcel was in the Office of Exchange in Israel, but our customer was told it wasn't and the package never arrived. (we have not had it returned yet either) The postal system there did (not checked a few weeks now) state that due to the pandemic certain delieveries were seriously delayed or cancelled. We were refunded via royal Mail for the cost of the postage and the item, this was to be fair done very quickly too by them.
