Confused about how to get USPS Ground Advantage refund for item broken in transit

Customer received an item that was broken. I have already refunded them but how do I go about getting a refund? Their site is very confusing. Where do I find the form? TIA.

You don't; you can 'TRY' to get one from USPS direct, and the way it works is:

You have to go to USPS website

The 'buyer' has to 'hang on to the item AND the packaging' and POSSIBLY be willing to 'TAKE IT' to the post office as they may want to inspect (90% of the time they do)

Know that

a.) USPS SELDOM pays for 'damage' as that just means (in their eyes) that YOU didn't pack it very well (looks like you sell 'breakables' so more than likely, they won't give you a nickel)

b.) when they DO pay, the Package ITSELF needs to show SIGNIFICANT damage

be sure that the buyer is

a.) willing to go to Post Office if needed

b.) does NOT reship the item to you (reshipping VOIDS any 'claim)
