Combined shipping question

So I'm going to try to offer combined shipping on a product (seems more complicated than it should be).  But my problem is that 1 item I can ship USPS first class.  More than one and I have to go parcel select or priority.  Is there a way to do this in the options?  Keep in mind I've never done this before.

Re: Combined shipping question

If they buy everything at one time, it should be easy as it will appear as one shipment. If both items go in one package.....

If they buy it as two orders, do the first order as you normally do. On the second order on the awaiting shipment screen, click on the small down arrow, click on enter tracking number, very carefully enter the tracking number from the first item, then click on the down arrow again and then show item on item shipped.

I did that just last week.

Re: Combined shipping question

Just wondering, once you have more than one item, would it weigh more than a pound?

You can only mail up to 1 pound with First Class mail, that may be the problem.  Good luck!

Re: Combined shipping question

Yes that is exactly my problem.  I can't go first class if I ship more than 1 item

Re: Combined shipping question

How big are the items you are referring to?  And their weight per item?

Re: Combined shipping question

Do you want to use Flat Rate or Calculated shipping?

Are items small or do you need to worry about dimension weight if large?

Re: Combined shipping question

And @deserdog .  So with box 1 item comes in at right about 15 ounces.  Its the olay skin care product i have listed.  Size shouldnt be an issue, its only long/wide because of the box.

Re: Combined shipping question

I do this all the time (5x a week for 12 years);

I do 'buy it now' 'immediate payment required' so my customers just have to pay the price, then I simply 'add the tracking number' and refund the difference. No invoices, no 'combined' shipping as it's too complicated. (Sometimes 2 items ship for the price of 1 and can STILL ship 1st Class, sometimes 2 items have to ship Priority, so there is NO refund; if a customer buys 3 or 4 items, I simply refund what I don't use (minus $1 each item and 14% eBay fee).

Re: Combined shipping question

Only reason I ask is because if 2 will go in a fairly small box, they can ship priority cubic or parcel select cubic
