Re: Chargebacks on USPS shipments?

Thank you for

#1 Reading the post in its entirety before submitting an answer

#2 Offering a viable solution with a how to reference

#3 For being a decent human being and not naturally assuming I know how to do something or making a negative statement that it's me or my error without considering all the variables

#4 For showing intelligence  (I was really questioning if anyone was actually reading and trying to be helpful or if Ebay forums are where all the bored people go to assert the egos)

So again,  a big thank you for your unbiased response

Re: Chargebacks on USPS shipments?

OP---when I opened your thread, there was absolutely no message under the subject.  Maybe some of our browsers aren't seeing your question and others are.  This is not the first time this has happened.  Maybe that is why you received some of the messages you did.  The majority of people on these boards really want to help others.  I found your response, which I was able to see, offensive to all who tried to help you.  Maybe if you go back and read their responses with this in mind, you will realize they were sincerely trying  to help you with only the title to go by.

BTW, I still have not been able to see your question.

Re: Chargebacks on USPS shipments?

I'm sorry if you feel my response was overly critical of those trying to help me.  The person I was directing the comment to was being given a compliment.  Every other answer I read had nothing to do with my question even after I described the situation or left me hanging as to how to fix something.   This wasn't directed at you, and I understand we all are entitled to our opinions,  which is why I stated mine, even if the sarcasm can be taken out of context by others, it's still my opinion which I express by that statement aforementioned.   I don't know about issues seeing the posts, but I have read each post submitted looking for answers,  and honestly all I saw were people saying it's my scale or inaccuracies and I should deal with accordingly without any suggestions as to how.  I did respond to someone else regarding a known overpayment in their end, hoping for a refund.  I worked at the post office and had an inside view, and I wished them luck on getting refunded although I'm not so sure USPS goes out of their way to do so. Again,  sorry for offending people who were trying to be helpful but I must have a different opinion of what it means to help, based off of what was posted so far.

I mailed something the other day at 3lb weight when it should have been 2, so we'll see if they also do refunds like they said they would.

That I am not hopeful 😞  I will try that on the next pkg that I ship and see what happens

Re: Chargebacks on USPS shipments?

I don't see a question in your first post.

I do see the subject line with a question mark in it, but it doesn't make any sense.

Re: Chargebacks on USPS shipments?

I just got a charge back from Ebay forwarding charges from USPS

claiming I put a first class package label  on a Priority mail box and

the weight mysteriously increased by 6-7 ounces.  7 days after it

was delivered to buyers USPS PO box.

I DID NOT put 1st class package label on any priority mail box,

that is fraud and  a federal offense.  But they will take some money

to rectify a fed offense ?!?.

I used a large dark yellow mailing envelope and the only

box in package was the one I purchased from Dollar Tree and was

covered in flowers and 1/2 the size of a whitman candy box. So

much bigger than the ever shrinking small priority mail box and

1/10th the size of med priority mail rectangle box.

My customer confirmed via written email, that the package was

not a priority mail box, envelope and no stickers or tape for priority mail.

This package was not scanned at receiving Commerce ga 30529

USPS branch but was scanned at Atlanta hub, which posted a fake

acceptance at using the maysville branch at 12:24am and this USPS branch

is locked up at 4pm and vacant by 5:10pm every day,

then the packaged is scanned rec'd at that 1st atl hub 2 hrs later, so USPS

employee had the package at their station for 2 hours. Then it was

scanned arrived and depart of the  next Atlanta dist, then in out Denver Hub,

in out Denver dist ctr,in out Denver smaller hub and the actual delivering USPS branch yet again in out.

so over 9 times at 2 main hubs, 2 dist centers, So in all

approx 12 scans. It was delivered a week ago and charge back

just popped up.

I am currently lost in USPS system trying to win this case against

me.  As Ebay is the USPS account holder, we should be able to

discuss and rectify with Ebay, but they pass the charges, and immediately

take the money out of paypal, and basically email us

good #$@!@$~!~ luck  dealing with 1-800-get lost.

Prior to all these businesses, LLc's and corporations having

direct access to our bank accounts, credit cards etc.

This/these alleged incorrect packages would have been

immediately returned buyer, the label voided or shown returned

and postage kept by USPS and we would need to purchase a

new label with correct weight etc. As we all know the USPS loves

to waste money, ours and federal funding,  they would have stopped

any package en route any where, even in Denver in my case, and returned

it to senders address and not completed delivery.

In my case if I did what USPS stated I did, I should be awaiting federal prosecution for attempted mail fraud or theft by taking or some

type fed charges against the USPS. Again, I DID NOT DO WHAT USPS

CLAIMS.. I am not stupid or so dumbly cheap that I would attempt to defraud

a federal agency for 5-10 us dollars.

Now I did walk into the Commerce Ga 30529 USPS branch and made

sure to hold package and label up to the Security camera

prior to putting in mail slot. MY feeble attempt to have someone

witness package was mailed from that location.

From now on, I am going back to taking pictures of all larger

packages and on MY SCALE.  If I need to I will ask my employer

to give me late lunch period so I can take to counter to be scanned

as here in ne ga all branches still close for 1 hour lunch.

I usually do this when I sell something to a buyer that is

suspicious, or I see that they leave a lot of feedback for

sellers claiming to have all kinds of problems.  There are

several sellers here that are chronic returners, and my favorite

the ones that nitpick everything trying to get refunds just out

of pure greed and they usually have 2 or MORE accounts here,

or chronically opening new accounts.

My suggestion/or have you considered, is to actually walk package

into USPS and have it scanned in at front counter,  or switching what

branch you mail from if feasible, I feel doing this a couple of times

might  get you off  whoever at which ever usps branch watch ' hit' list

and finally put an end charge backs.  If you have the receipt with

the track and their scale weight , then no dispute there. Ask for second

print out and TAPE 2nd print out to the package.   You may

want to talk to your Local branch and discuss this chronic problem

and see if they can investigate or at least give you a tracking print

out of their internal posts to find out where this charge back is being

established,  ie dist hub main hub in your state or even your local

branch etc etc.

Or switch to Fedex or UPS which can cost more for smaller

sellers or smaller packages.

SADLY, this could be an incentive program from the USPS, and

and it is legally criminal of the USPS to randomly or incorrectly

charge back on services rendered and completed.

Sincerely hoping you can quickly resolve and rectify

this very serious problem.

mary

Re: Chargebacks on USPS shipments?

GOOD LUCK!! let us all know when you get the
check or payment in stamps. if you purchased 3lb
for a 2 lb package, sadly they most likely are not going to
give you money back. and you should not expect to get
money back for your stated weight.
