I purchased an iPhone 15 on eBay, and the seller did not ship it for four days. When I tried to reach out to eBay, they informed me that it was too early to file a report. Subsequently, the seller canceled my order. I placed a new order with a different seller, but after five days, I have yet to receive a tracking number. eBay advised me that I could only report non-delivery if the phone did not arrive by August 20. Despite my attempts to cancel the order, eBay informed me that it was too late. I have reached out to the seller multiple times but have not received any response. I need the phone by August 20 for my son's birthday. I am hesitant to purchase another phone in case the first order is shipped, leaving me with two phones. Waiting any longer may result in me being empty-handed on my birthday. I believe it would be beneficial for eBay to include a link to report lack of shipping activity rather than waiting for the delivery date.
Do you have any suggestions on how to handle this situation?

Nothing you can really do.
You can't report until the latest delivery expectation has passed.
Buyers can never cancel orders. You can only submit an actual request within the first hour but the seller can still deny it.
If the seller isn't communicating you just have to wait it out.

Since a seller is not required to answer messages, provide a tracking number or let you know if the item has been shipped, there's nothing you can do but wait until the estimated delivery date.
When you need something by a certain date, it's probably better buying local.

Isn't it frustrating? I regret shopping on a site where customers are not valued and respected.
Thank you for your response.

Personally, Id never order anything online that I needed by a specific date. You will have to wait until just past the estimated delivery date to file item not received if you dont get it.You cannot cancel any item that is possibly in transit .Maybe it just hasnt been scanned yet while in transit, that happens.
