HI: all just wanted to post that the Canadian Mail service is on strike . So there are going to be long delivery issues for mail and packages .because they lock all mail in secured warehouse's during the strike . This standard practice when their employees go on strike . I have seen this happen over the years shipping to Canada . UPS ,DHL and FedEx aren't affected by the Canada Postal strike . So it will be based on how bad the buyers want the items and will pay to use those carriers .

Anyone know how ISP is handling this today since they halted all mail to Canada? I have a item going to Canada that just arrived at the Hub in the US. Can I expect it to be returned to me and have to refund and be out my shipping? Ebay needs to put out a official statement ASAP for ISP.

@qualityvideogamesforless What is ISP?
@carlmarxx ebay has already halted (stopped ANY Canadian buyers from buying, even From Canada TO Canada) as well as the USPS has a banner across the top that they will NOT do ANY shipments to Canada.

"International Shipping Program" (ISP). Well they let a Canadian buyer buy from me last week and it just arrived at the hub in the US. So what to expect now? They are just going to have it sit in limbo in Ilinois?

As long as your eIS ("eBay International Shipping," not "ISP")-forwarded item is accepted at the shipping hub, you've fulfilled your responsibilities to the buyer and it's up to them to figure out how they want to handle a possible late or undeliverable item.
Having said that, as a Canadian buyer myself, I get the impression that eIS is now trying as much as possible to use carriers that don't make use of the postal system in Canada. I'm not sure how that works with rural or remote destinations that aren't served by any other carriers but Canada Post, though.

Just was getting the word out. This is first time I heard of ebay halting buying to and from Canada and for first time USPS to halt shipments to Canada over their postal service strike . Because they never did this type of action before in past strikes . if I need something from Canada I will pay fedex or UPS ground shipping .

I don't Sell internationally but if I did I would revise listings and not ship to Canada until they sort things out and include Canada on my Excluded shipping locations list.

If you don't sell internationally then don't give advice on shipping internationally. US sellers that sell internationally through eIS are protected by eBay as their only commitment is to ensure the package arrives at eBay's shipping hub. eIS is responsible for delivery to the Canadian address.

The past couple of strikes were rotating strikes that only affected a handful of locations at a time. This slowed down movement of the mail but didn't stop it completely until Canada Post locked out the workers. This strike affects all Canada Post Corporation locations, be they sorting stations or corporate-owned post offices.
