Can you have a different source zip code from your return shipping address?

Hello!  I am rather new to selling here on EBay and was wondering if and how I can update the zip code from the shipping source.

The shipping source zip is defaulted with my return zip code, but I ship using the post office in the county next to me.  That office has asked if I could update this zip code in order for them to get the credit.

I have been able to do this on Etsy, can it be done here on EBay?

Thanks!

Yes, you can have  a different ship from zip code than your return zip code.   Just go in and edit it.

As stated, you can go in and change it.  Most of the time the postal clerks won't hassle you if it is wrong.  I once mailed a CA zip code item from New Hampshire... got there just fine.

I have done so for years. because the closest post office in the zip code  I live in is 15 miles away from me. 42025

I have a post office only 6 miles away from me in another zip code 42048 so it is the one I use.

They made the same request  of me so they would get credit.  No problem at all.

While it's not an unreasonable request, they need to understand that they get "credit" by scanning the package, no other way. Their own tracking system keeps full details on which post office handles how many packages, both Accepted and Delivered. The "credit" is not awarded on the basis of that little "Mailed from ZIP" entry printed on the label.

The purpose of the Ship From ZIP entry on the label is simply to show that the postage has been calculated from that point of origin, and not the ZIP code showing in the return address. It's only functional on zone-based calculated-shipping methods, such as First Class Package or non-Flat Rate Priority Mail items. If they want credit for the work they're doing, they simply need to scan every package as they're supposed to.

As to the how look for the edit button below the ship from on the new shipping labels page. A box will open up and check off the My ship from and return address are different. Enter your alternate post office address and save. It will save the addresses you enter for easy use in the future.

If its still out there the old shipping page had a box on the left side you could check and change the zip.
