I sold an item and specified "no returns" on the listing. When the buyer received the item they claimed it was defective. The buyer said they were getting an SD card error, but didn't specify what it was and couldn't tell me the error code or any technical details about the error. They asked for a refund and I paid for a return shipping label because in the case of defective items the seller has to pay for shipping.
When I got the item back I tested it and it wasn't defective. Evey SD card I put in it worked. What I think happened was that they didn't want item and they couldn't return it to me unless... they claim it is defective.
My question is. Since the item was NOT defective. Can I get reimbursed for the return shipping label that I paid for? I certainly don't want to force the buyer to take the item but they should at least cover the return shipping.
Has anyone else had this problem when selling? What do you do? I think I should at least report the buyer.

Did you purchase a label and send it or did you have eBay issue a label that they later billed you for? You can ask eBay to reimburse you, they may or may not.

So what happens if you purchase a ebay label to give to the buyer and it doesn't cover the whole cost of the shipping. Does the buyer have to pay that, or do they contact you and make you pay it. If ebay is offering you a label to buy, I would insume it could be used to get a refund. Are they using the amount you advertised as shipping for the amount they have on the label they provide? Because the label they are offering is the same amount as in my auction.

A return shipping label is not issued for a specific price or weight.
The buyer puts the label on the package and drops it off at the post office. The post office weighs it and determines the cost. That cost is then charged to eBay's account and then to the seller.

Could you make the buyer pay for it since their lying in their SNAD and refuse to show pics of their fabrication. Even if you offer no returns, this SNAD fraud people are doing and lying because they don't like their item is rediculous that the seller has to bend over to these scammers, seems they should pay for shipping back.

No.

Hi @ebuyer2501, If you sell you have to take returns. That's all there is to it. Just because a buyer is dissatisfied doesn't make them a scammer. If you feel the buyer abused the returns process, you can report them to eBay, see the eBay Help Page below. Good luck!

eBay pays the same price --
whether the return label weighs 1 oz or 70 lbs. Then eBay turns around --
and charges the seller any price for the label.
