Hello!
I have a set of markers listed with buyers able to pick and choose from the various colors. I've set the shipping option to "calculated: cost varies by buyer location" and the weight for each item is 6 oz, first class package. No matter what location I choose on the calculator it only shows $2.00 for the first class package option. I've also had a few buyers order individual markers from various locations in the U.S. and each time it's only charged them $2.00 for shipping.
The problem is when I go to print the shipping label it costs me a lot more, roughly in the $3-4 range. I can't seem to figure out why this is stuck at a $2.00 cost for the buyers and then ends up costing me more. I'm using the same settings (first class package, 6 oz) when ordering the labels. Is there anything I'm missing or are there any settings I need to change? This is in regards to my listing "COPIC Sketch Marker Pen Color Series Double-Ended Markers - Various Used." Thanks!

Your shipping cost shows as $2 for one but the minimum cost for a first class package is more than $2 so you must have large envelope or letter checked off under package type which is in the size and dimension section. To have combined shipping when you have multiple choices in a listing you have to set up a combined shipping rule and then check off that listing to enable the rule. Unless you set up a rule the system only recognizes combined shipping within a listing if the same option is chosen...for example 2 of one color.

Are you choosing the "package" rate, rather than letter weight when it's set up?

Go to your shipping preferences and edit your calculated shipping rule. If you haven't done so already. This lets you combine the shipping weights for multiple items, so that buyers are charged by weight and distance.
