Calculated shipping cost displayed to buyer

I just noticed that the cost of calculated shipping displayed in a listing isn't always the lowest one

For instance:

I have 3 choices in my policy, so here is an example

USPS -$30

FedEx - $25

UPS - $20

When you bring up the listing it shows the price as $25 instead of the least expensive of $20

It doesn't even seem to follow the order you have them in your shipping policy (not that would necessarily help)

Is there a way to fix this I am missing?

Mine have always (and continue to show)........the first shipping option that I use first, then the 2nd, etc.

I don't use Business practices or app.........so don't know if those effect the order or not.

If USPS is first preference that you added...this is what customer will see.    Customer will not see other shipping preference unless they click on shipping to see if other options are available.

You need to mention in your item description "several shipping options to choose from".

As others posted. 1st chosen by you is the 1st (and only without buyer digging in) to be displayed.

When I offer choices, I always show the cheapest 1st. A buyer may not even click on a listing when search shows the highest shipping.

You are correct, I was looking at 2 different shipping policies, Woops

I do wish it would do that, sometimes the difference is fairly significant

If you are showing cheapest first, do you modify the shipping settings in your listing, or do you have separate policies?

Note that while the shipping options should be in the order you entered them, the buyer's Zip Code can sometimes still determine which carrier is the cheapest, especially if any surcharges are involved.

II often go into the shipping tab and enter a zip code to see how it's being priced.

That's how I realized it didn't necessarily show the cheapest, I'll check a few examples that I know are different and see what I get.

I am not currently using "business policies" when listing, but when I did on another account, I had different policies to apply rather than modifying.

I always found "business policies" annoying, and do not use it on my current selling account.

Everyone and their mother should suggest to eBay via unsolicited ideas or their social media accounts that the buyer should see the cheapest option.  Even one zip code difference can make fedex 5-10 bucks cheaper than ups and vice versa.

I did it, sent the suggestion via dm on Twitter and the unsolicited ideas page.
