You can send back, while we receive return, we will send you replacement. No need to ship power cord back, it is heavy. Charger is only 9 oz, about $3 in shipping. Thanks for your business and time

PLEASE:
I still need a return label from you. According to ebay I’m past the 30 day time period for eBay to issue a return label.
CAN THE ITEM BE RETURNED? THIS IS EBAY'S ANSWER:
This item can't be returned right now. You can contact the seller for a return label.
PLEASE READ EVERYTHING BELOW:
Frequently asked questions
What should I do if I missed the seller's return time frame?
If you've missed the deadline to start a return, you can contact the seller to see if the seller is willing to accept a late return. Use Messages in My eBay when contacting the seller to keep a record of your conversation.
Replacement and exchange
Replacement and exchanges can be requested by the buyer and/or seller. Exchanges are based on value of the original purchased item, with current and equal value. A buyer must request a return no later than 30 days after the actual (or latest estimated) delivery date, or, if the seller's return window is longer, within the return window.
Timelines for replacement and exchanges:
When the buyer requests a replacement or an exchange the seller has 3 business days to respond to the buyer. If no response is received after 3 business days (and a maximum of 27 business days) the buyer can escalate the request to eBay to step in and help resolve.
If a replacement or exchange is agreed upon, the buyer has 5 days to ship the item back to the seller with return tracking (provided through return claim). If the buyer doesn’t ship the item within 5 business days, the replacement or exchange will be closed.
If the buyer doesn’t ship the return item back to the seller, and the seller shipped the replacement or exchange with confirmed delivery scan, after 20 business days the seller will be paid the value of the additional item. The buyer will be charged for this additional item via the buyer’s PayPal account.
If you don't send a label to my email (which I will provide) I wasted $42. If you can't send me a pre- payed label just send your address.
:
We are not able to process return label from our side. eBay provide return label from buyer side, and paid by us. Sorry that we do not understand why ebay did not allow you to process. Please contact eBay. eBay did not provide service for seller sending buyer return label.

Hi,
The Apple 45W magsafe 2 Power adapter for Macbook Air stopped working after 3 months. Is there any way you can sent me a new one? The power adapter should have lasted years, just like the one that came with the computer.
I will send the adapter back for an exchange.
Thank You,
Lynne

Ebay's Money Back Guarantee only gives you 30 days after the actual delivery date to return an item and have the seller send you a return shipping label. You've past that deadline.

I know, but it says clearly that if you are past the deadline contact the seller for a shipping label. The power cord died after two months so the seller was willing to send me a new one but would not send me a shipping adress. what don't you understand? Did you read the whole email?
07-20-2017 04:35 PM
Sure, the highlighted area is pretty easy to understand, so are the terms for eBay's MBG:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/money-back-guarantee.html
You had 30 days and you missed it. You can still return the item through Paypal, but YOU pay for the shipping label. It looks as though the seller is trying to help you, but you aren't understanding.

But it doesn't say the seller MUST send you a return shipping label. Yes, I read and understood your whole post. What don't YOU understand that it was past the 30 days after actual delivery? And was it after 3 months (as you stated in your op) or 2 months?
07-20-2017 04:51 PM
The seller is not trying to help me or he would have told how to send it back. I did not see the page you sent me, this was my first order with ebay and they make it very hard to understand where to find stuff on their website. Why would ebay say "You can contact the seller for a return label." if the seller didn't know what I was talking about. By the way I did not want my money back, I wanted another power adapter that the seller was willing to send me, if I would send the defective one back. So don't tell me I'm not understanding!

eBay Money Back Guarantee can only make a seller provide you a return shipping label within 30 days for not as described items. After that, the seller isn't even required to accept your return/exchange through the eBay platform. This seller is being generous by offering to exchange it but the shipping will be on you.
The MBG is not a warranty.

since you are new to ebay and having issues understanding the process, I suggest you go to paypal and open a return/exchange request. so you have point and click easy to follow information.
Just some points:
-You have 30 days protection with ebay and 180 days protection with paypal
-After 30 you have to pay for the shipping back to the sellerno matter who you do your claim through.
-You can discuss the seller if they are willing to pay for shipping back but they have no obligation after 30 days.
-Seller was trying to do you a favor by not requesting the cord, only the charger to save you money

Why are you all putting this on me? The seller could have given me an address to send it back and say pay the shipping. Also, you all think it's fair, for a product to last only a few months and for Mount Ebay to make it impossible to respond because the item was removed from the list to dispute it. I don't care what their rules are because when you give exception to rules by saying contact the seller for a return label, you set up an expectation that you will be helped. What makes you all asume that I thought I would get a prepaid label; I just wanted an address so I could return the defective item that cost (Subtotal $35.00, Shipping $7.50, Total $42.50) and get one that works. The person that said I should eat it and buy another is very bright because that's what I did. But, not one of you, took my side in this dipute, which leads me to asume that rules have nothing to do with ethics right or wrong.

1. knowing Ebay rules is your responsibility.
2. I put nothing on you. I gave you good advice, in which you should follow.
3. I understand that you *want* a prepaid label, but if the seller isn't willing, that's not going to happen. You are out of your timeline to require a prepaid label.
4. You ARE still covered. You just have to return the item. You can get a full refund (minus your return shipping) through Paypal. Paypal will give you the address to ship it to. You dont have to wait for the buyer to give it to you.
-You are angry because you have an item that doesn't work. We understand that. It does not mean you are an exception to the rules. Follow our advice and you will be refunded. (Ebay nor paypal can require a seller to do an exchange, a full refund is the best you can expect)

You need to read eBay's MBG because obviously you DO NOT understand. The seller's obligation to you ended after 30 days. The fact that the seller is even willing to take it back via eBay says the seller is trying to help you. They absolutely would have been within their rights to have told you... Sorry, 30 days have passed and we aren't willing to do anything for you. Then YOU would have had to figure out that you still had some rights under Paypal. This seller is abiding by the rights you have on Paypal, you didn't have to go research it.
YES, you can return the widget, but YOU pay return shipping.

Here to go with instructions on how to do a return on Paypal... I typed in "how to open a return on Paypal" into Google and this is what I came up with. I'm hoping it will spell it out for you well enough:
https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/security/buyer-protection-resolution
I would NOT try to muddy the waters with an exchange. Do the return and then repurchase. That's my advice... take it or leave it.
