Buyer started return request but never returned the item

Buyer said that the item was not as described and opened a case. I am just wondering how long is the buyer given to return the item? It’s been a couple of days. I’m new to all of this. The buyer seemed rude and isn’t communicating with me.

After you provide the return label (you did respond to the case and do that, right?), ebay will give the buyer quite a long window to return the item.  If you get lucky, they may not, and eventually ebay will close the return.  Otherwise, all you need to do is wait and see what happens.
