Buyer gave wrong address - started claim

So i just had a buyer provide me with wrong address for first time.  They opened a claim. After the item was shipped and the delivery failed the first time they then messaged me with their actually address.  What am I suppose to do?  I cant change the address & a USPS package interception will cost me 22.72, which will make me losing money.  What should I expect next couple of days?

Was the item delivered to the wrong address or is it coming back to you? Regardless, once it shows delivered, call eBay and they will close the INR case in your favor.

They are now advising that you don’t have to resend or refund (the info I received last night for the same situation) BUT you could either:

a- have the buyer pay to reship the item (send the buyer a PayPal invoice for postage)

b- refund the item price minus shipping (and fees if you choose since eBay will keep the FVF)

BTW- don’t refund anything until after the item has shown as delivered and you have closed the INR case.

Did you use the paypal address or did they provide you with a different address?   It is up to the buyer to make sure the address they want the item sent to is listed in their paypal.   If you followed through with this, should they open an item not received request, just put in the tracking number and the case will be closed in your favor.

If you shipped to an address other than the one in paypal, you will have to pay to re-ship the item or give them a total refund.
