Hi all-
I hope this is the right thread. I bought an item in "As is" condition. It was 3 clothing items that were NWT. I recieved them today and all are stained, one has a tag that is frayed badly. One is discolored and smells like some kind of cleaning product may have been applied to it. Most of the stains are located on the back of the items and were not shown in the photo.
I am super disappointed-if I would have seen these defects in photos, I definitely would not have bought the items.
Because these were sold "as is" do I just chalk it up as a loss? I do feel like I was duped, but wondering opinions on this.
Thanks!

Request a return.
"As is" does not mean no returns according to the Ebay MBG.

NWT means "New with tags." If your item is smelly or stained, it does not meet eBay's definition of "new," and nothing the seller puts in their listing (such as "as is") overrides your buyer protection under eBay's "Money back guarantee." Click on the link at the bottom of this page for the Resolution Center and file a claim for "does not match seller's description."

There's no such condition "as-is". Only:
New: 1000/1500
Refurbished: 2000/2500
Used: 3000
Parts: 7000
So if they were condition New, start a return request for not as described. THen click Ask eBay to step in if you've not been issued a prepaid return label.
