Beware Shipping via Fedex

I switched to only ship via Fedex because USPS keeps destroying my packages. A buyer sent me a photo today. It looks like the Fedex guy stepped on it before dropping it off; fortunately the product was okay since I pack well. I'm switching to UPS. Hopefully they don't fail me too.s-l1600.jpg

Any of the big 3 can crush a box, any day.

The key is to ship the item crush proof.  Make your box the one that is doing the crushing on the conveyors.

I do find that UPS is the most efficient.

Is that a Walmart box.? You get what you pay for. What exactly were you shipping? You may want to put more packing material inside the box. In addition they more than likely stacked something heavier on your package which crushed it. Switching to different carrier will do no good. You will run the risk of having the same issue. When shipping via Fed Ex or UPS make sure the package is tight or they will reject an insurance claim.

Hate to throw a wrench in your plans, but crushed boxes happen with every shipping service.  You can have a very nice, sturdy box and do your best and still have it happen.  USPS, FedEx and UPS have equally damaged boxes for me over the years

Was just about to say this. In my experience with receiving packages, all of the ones that I have received that have been partially crushed were ones that did not have enough packing material inside the box. One of my crane game apps used to be particularly bad about not putting any packing material in with the prizes so there was a lot of empty space in the boxes-- I received a whole lot of crushed boxes from them. When they started putting in some packing paper to fill the empty space, the boxes stopped showing up crushed.
