As a seller, why am I being charged international shipping when it should be domestic?

I just sold an item for $36. It is, I believe, my first item I've sold on ebay. When I go to print out the shipping label, I am being charged for international shipping and not domestic. There is no option for it and the seller is located in the US and is quite close actually. If I really do have to use international shipping, I will lose more than half of the money I just made. Please help.

Thanks!

Well, of course you can't ship to a 'neighbor' using International... maybe you set the listing up wrong?

Have you checked the blue area at the bottom of the shipping page that says 'Compare all services'??

That listing states you only ship to the USA.

It sounds like a glitch since buyer is located in the USA.  Since you don't need to ship until Monday, I would wait and try creating the shipping label later.

Buyer may be close, but what "ship to" address was provided?

The "ship to" address is in the US. Currently, their address isn't even correct because it gives two different states, but I contacted them about it. Not sure if that would cause the issue I am having, but I am pretty sure that problem is unrelated.

Leave out the street address but tell us what you see for the City State and Zip code. Maybe there is a clue in there?

New Castle, DE. 19726

After I messaged them, the buyer did fix the issue with them also saying that they lived in Georgia at the same time as Delaware.

It sounds like you have a snowbird.

Determine the correct address. If it is the same zip and eBay is still giving you international then go to www.paypal.com/shipnow cut and paste the info and ship, manually import the tracking number to the purchase page.

I think you might have a buyer in the country called Georgia who is using one of the mail-forwarding services in Newastle DE.

That Delaware address seems familiar as one for a freight forwarder.

Perhaps you have a buyer who lives in Georgia (Europe) rather than Georgia, as in the southern US.

Nevertheless, if his address is that freight forwarder in Delaware, you are still shipping domestically.
