Anyone having trouble with USPS tracking showing an item you shipped today as delivered?

I dropped a package off at the Post Office today that is going to North Carolina from here in Maine & the USPS tracking is showing it as delivered.  It shows it as being delivered to my town here in Maine??  My buyer emailed me asking what is going on as they bought it today.  I checked & I have the same issue with two packages I shipped yesterday as well.  Anyone else having this issue??

That happens once in awhile.

The clerk just scanned it wrong and tracking should straighten out after a couple more scans.

Your PO likely scanned incorrectly.  Have had it happen. 

Hopefully as the items move along in the system the tracking will update correctly.

You can message your buyer(s) to let them know what happened, apologize for the carrier error, assure them that their purchase is on the way, and request that that be patient while the scanning updates.

The best updates will be at USPS dot com. eBay will be slow to show the corrected status, and will show the "delivered today" possibly forever😕

It also looks like only printed today labels are affected (at least for me); the ones printed yesterday and picked up at the same time as the cracking ones are on normal pace.
