Postage went up . all domestic labels printed ok grabbing more $$ from us for uncle sam --- ok with us - they do provide great service for us.

i am able to buy label for Canada but just when i hit purchase and expect a label to pop up on my screen i get the following msg. i am buying first class international for 8 oz package.

We're having trouble printing your label.

- We had a problem retrieving the label. [Error: 64541-Content type Documents is only supported for First Class Mail International]

Hello e-bay--- is that a problem on your end or USPS interface issue? have to ship the item today per e-bay handling time. HELP...

Yup! Mine started yesterday. EBay is aware. Paypal also not showing the correct charge for Canadian shipping. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the shipping increase for First Class International "merchandise" that just took effect on 01/21/18. Ebay says it will notify buyers of delay and not count it as a delay on our part. Hope so!

Same happening on my shipments as well. Ebay has plenty of IT people and they should have figured this out before launching it. Makes me angry.

We have printed several labels today. The only ones rejected are foreign address. The error code sas only documents can be sent. Documents like letters . do not go through customs.

I have the same problem today Monday 1/22. System isn't letting me print the mailing label either. I m getting the same error messages. Maybe later today matters will get fixed? Keeping my fingers cross.

I called ebay this morning with the same problem, they told me that with the rate changes, USPS is no longer offering 1st class int'l for packages - only documents. All Int'l packages must now go Priority Mail. This has to be a mistake, right???

Anyway, I went to the USPS website and tried to print a 1st class Int'l label there, it wouldn't let me do it either. This has to be a mistake, right???

Went back to the ebay shipping page, and when I switched the service to Priority , it printed the labels.

This really needs to be straightened out. I took a $$$ hit today to honor the orders that were placed over the weekend, but no one is going to order a $10 or $20 item if there's $35 shipping! This has to be a mistake, right???

Just came from post office and there is no problem sending your over seas parcels First Class Mail. Just have to do things old school and fill out the customs form. So Feebay just drags their heels to get lower rates and don't pass on to the seller...that's their version of negotiations with post office...

Yep. Horribly handled by eBay (as usual). Had the same thing happen to me yesterday. The eBay service rep I spoke to said that First Class International Mail was no longer being accepted (!) even though no where on the site is this indicated. I went to the post office this morning and they indicated that there is no indication that First Class Mail has gone away! I called eBay again this morning and they said that it is simply a technical issue when trying to print out First Class Mail International labels that they are addressing. Way to go eBay! No information anywhere on any of this on your site AND your "Help" line (as usual) completely misinformed callers. This is a multi-billion dollar company, no? How is this an acceptible way to run a business?

thanks. i wrote mine without seeing all the previous threads on the same topic. sorry guys. just don't get time to read stuff before starting my own thread. cheers. i will send a msg to buyer and make sure e-bay does not penalize me --- they do even when usps forgets to scan on pick up day. bad policy.

Same here. Ebay Customer service does not have any answers either... Worst Customer service.. just above Verizon, and Comcast.

I believe eBay have the same problem last year when the Postal increase the rate. Ebay find out later what is the problem, then they fix it, so why Ebay did not have a notes that they put down, so they know what is the problem, every year all sellers have to frustrate over this problem again and again, very bad services since they make multimillion or billion dollars???? Completely no fair to all the sellers!!!!!!!

Just like when they forced everyone in to using the Seller Flub and the system couldnt handle the known number of users. Ebay takes the lowest bidder, preferably a third world non english speaking country. This is the result, yet again. With the tax cuts, maybe a raise for everyone to a dollar an hour might prevent the numerous current and future flaws...
