Anyone else having problems printing a First Class Package International shipping label?

I have been trying to print a first class package international label to AUSTRALIA, just 8 ounces, for over several hours, and ebay continues to state the service is not available, and try again later.

I hate the new interface over at Paypal, and I don't believe Click N Ship gives a discount.  Oh well, I guess I have all day to try and print this label.

Why don't you just print it through Paypal?  What don't you like about it ?   (I don't print my labels that way but I'd be fine doing it there if ebay was glitchy).

The other possibility is that there is something wrong or missing with the address. I run into this from time to time when, for exaple, the street address is too long (you are limited to 40 charcters), or maybe the state/region is missing.

International First Class labels via the PayPal site are also not printing. (You are correct, no eBay shipping discount through PayPal.)

I'm having problems also. Hopefully Ebay will find a solution to this soon so we don't get dinged for late shipping. 😞

@cordeliascache There’s no such thing as an eBay shipping discount. Both eBay And PayPal charge the USPS commercial rate. You pay the same rate whether you buy the label from eBay or PayPal.

There are a few threads on the Selling Board about International FC Shipping, so I went to USPS to what would happen if I calculated a shipment to UK, and the only thing offered is Express/Priority - First Class pkgs was not available.  There is something called "Affordable International Service (see link below) but it appears that it could only be used for envelopes - it is kind of confusing because it says to "buy stamps" 😞

I know that I sold a lot of international pkgs under 4lbs on FB and the buyers there will not be impressed with the shipping cost 😞 

I wonder if it changed on Etsy too.  If so, it will most definitely cut out international shipping for me because the buyers do not want to pay the amounts 😞

That is incorrect. When I print through ebay it gives me a 14% discount.
I have 2 International packages I need to ship. Each package will cost me $20.10 to print through ebay. If I go to USPS.com it will cost me $23.50 each. It will cost me $6.80 MORE to ship through USPS.com. I hope my late shipment rating doesn't get dinged because of this EBAY glitch. Don't want my Top Rated Seller status to get yanked. Also Paypal will not let you print First Class International labels, only First Class International Envelopes.

@ss95chevy Sorry but no. I am 100% correct. Perhaps you didn’t understand my response. There is absolutely NO eBay discount. They charge the published USPS commercial rate, which is the same rate PayPal charges. Some sellers are also eligible for comm-plus rate but again that is NOT a special ebay rate. Maybe you qualify for that rate? Which again is not an eBay discount. And PayPal has sold first class international package postage for years, I buy all my labels through PayPal. Never had a problem buying first class international package postage. You

Haven't been able to print First Class International Shipping labels all day and have been on hold with Ebay for over an hour to find out what is going on.  The customer service reps are worthless.  I guess that's why they are answering phones instead of selling on Ebay.  I know far more about the ins and outs of the site then most of the reps I speak to.  I assume that there is an issue with Ebay and the USPS on the back end regarding international shipping labels.  This seems to happen once every two years but it usually gets resolved within 6 hours.  I guess it is taking longer to get fixed since the rate increase occurred on a Sunday.  The competent tech guys must be off today.  Hope it gets fixed soon.  Don't have time to sit around and have my international sales piling up.  God forbid a package should arrive a day late.  We might lose our Top Rated Seller standing.  That's one way for Ebay not to have to pay out the 10% final value fee discount for top rated sellers (Which used to be $20%).   Less Top Rated Sellers, less discounts offered to sellers, higher seller fees, more money for Ebay.  Conspiracy?  Maybe.

Customer service reps are overseas in the Philippines. I would not expect rhem to be able to provide tech support. I would buy the labels from PayPal in the meantime. You pay the same rate.

It looks like you have been paying more then you should have for international postage.  Ebay offers a 14% shipping discount to top rated sellers for First Class International packges if printing the shipping lable directly through Ebay.  Paypal, USPS, Stamps.com, Auctane shipping service, etc.  do not offer the 14% discount.  If you are a top rated seller and printing your shipping labels through Paypal, then you are not receiving this discount.  Just something to consider.

Yup, keep getting an error message as well.  Tried from two different browsers multiple times.  Same error message.

You are not understanding.

eBay may say that it is an "eBay" discount. But it is not.

It is the published USPS Commercial Rate that any volume shipper is eligible for.

USPS offers 3 tiers of rates:

Retail (over the counter and Click n ship)

Commercial Base (online only)

Commercial Plus (online only)

All non-TRS eBay sellers automatically get Comm Base Rates. This exact rate is also available on PayPal, Stamps.com, Endicia and any other online postage provider.

TRS sellers get Comm Plus Rates. This rate is available to Volume shippers through other platforms if they qualify.

The rates are published in the USPS DMM Notice 123 and are not exclusive to eBay.
