Address issue

Hello

Buyer purchased a ring ..even thought I put a best offer option but buyer just purchased buy it now and paid full price…which is nice.

but buyer say they recently moved and have not updated new address on ebay account and so asked to ship to new address …different from ebay .

I was reading on here say do not ship to different address other than ebay provided otherwise I loose seller protection and maybe get scammed.

my questions is, if I cancel the order due to address issue, (unconfirmed) buyer can leave bad feedback because I cancel?

I want to do the right by buyer and ebay but in this case, I have to follow ebay and warnings from other ebay sellers…let me know

@mybabylily If the request to ship to a different address came via message after the sale make sure it is actually from the buyer and not someone trying to get you to ship the item to them. Look very closely at the 2 user names make sure they match exactly.

If they do not match, ignore the request and ship to your actual buyer.

If it is your buyer you will not be able to change the address after the sale. Let the buyer know eBay requires you to ship to the address on the order. You will need to cancel the sale using reason problem with buyer's address. Then list the item again for the buyer to repurchase with the correct address.

I usually tell them in order for their to be eBay protection that I am required to ship to their address on payment. If they would like me to cancel their order so they can pay with the correct address to let me know otherwise I will need to cancel as a problem with address.

You have several options...

First make sure it is the actual buyer requesting the change of address.
You can let the buyer know they can place a hold on their mail at their local post office. They can collect the package there.

You can let the buyer know you can't change the address after purchase per eBay policy that you can cancel the transaction so they can repurchase with the correct address. 
I wouldn't even worry about feedback.
