ZIP code is no longer modifiable on the shipping label purchase page. I've changed addresses many times per buyer request, as well as made return shipping labels, but today it isn't working. Is this problem specific to me or are other sellers having the same issue?

Obviously not worried about seller protection in these cases. I hope they change it but not worried about eBay monitoring this comment as not really planning on selling much more on eBay for a while. But.....if someone has a workaround for my scenario, would appreciate additional comment....
Shipping through Paypal/Shipstation is just as convenient, you get the same discount, labels are identical, you use whatever payment method you have on file with PP and you don't confuse buyers who receive an email telling them their "ebay purchase has shipped" with a tracking number they have to clue about.
Respectfully, what you're doing is not too smart.

See above: What used to be Paypal ship now was changed to shipstation and is just as easy, discounts are the same and you don't confuse (or worse, tick off) buyers.

Aaaargh... Please, people, I am not just typing to hear my keyboard rattle.
Again: the ZIP Code field doesn't matter, because the ZIP+4 code is validated at label purchase time based on what you have put in for Street Address, City and State. (At minimum, even if you made no changes, you may notice that a 5-digit ZIP has been expanded to a ZIP+4 once the label emerges.)
The only reason that that field is locked is because it is filled in later by the system when validating the street address, etc.; it doesn't matter what ZIP is showing prior to that point.
This change does not address that particular scam of talking the seller into changing the Ship-To: address and then filing an Item Not Received dispute when the package is not delivered to the correct City and ZIP.

You think it's a good idea? Anyone can message you and change an address to anything they want. Imagine the fraud. You would be liable for that. The way that is explained to you has always been the CORRECT way to do this. Cancel the transaction (problem with address), relist, and have the buyer repurchase and give the correct address at checkout. You are fighting to do something the wrong way, a way that leaves you open to item not received claims you would LOSE.

@justright3553_9
I just tried and it appears I can no longer edit the zip code either.
Always wondered about that EDIT out beside the address...
Always assumed that was in case you want to do just that.
You know, EDIT THE ADDRESS!

The edit is in case the name exceeds the limit and you need to move it to the second line, ie: Joe Schmo Blair Hall Dormitory Floor 4 Room 6. You could move part of it to the next line. I had to do that once.

Editing is Editing. Ai knows not the difference

Like I said, I did it once but not recently. I have no idea if that would still work. Just answering why that button is there.

Finally someone answered the QUESTION!
The 9 posters before obviously did NOT get it that OP did not want advise if/how/what to do or not, simply if it is now not anymore possible to edit the zip code. Had read all the junk answers just to get to no 9.

I love ebay's discounts when used for shipping. If this is true and you cannot change the zip code... it's a total bummer and I get wrong address used requests a lot..1 out of every 20? Most people move to a whole new zip code and not just down the street. I used it to send return labels to buyers every once in a while and now I can longer use it for that.
I'm sure it has to do with the shipping companies making more money. Hey ebay, if you did do this...what shipping company did you invest in where we can go to??? and of coarse pay much higher shipping rates. I'm sure the use of the extra shipping labels was going more and more volume and $$$...but I'm sure you still making a good bit of $$ even off the discount price. This just started a couple weeks ago. Control control control. Maybe it is because of the fraud.. Pretty soon if all does not match up...they will unplug you.

Yes it's safer for the buyer to have to wait for the refund and in most cases because most are so poor that they have to wait for the money to be refunded which usually takes a few days...the buyer has to make sure it's been refunded from banks like Wells Fargo who just like to mess up transactions and by the time they get there money back it's needed for bills. But you are right. But being able to just change the address was easier for both parties. Times are a changing as to higher fraud and it use to be delivery companies barely made mistakes...now 1 out of every 20 to 30 packages goes on a Tour USA trip some for weeks on end.

Good info! Slippery!!

I don't know where these people come from but the newer threads on the issue have the same thing going on 😂. It's not a glitch apparently, so "edit address" is no longer a usable feature

Will try pirateship.com, as suggested by @wastingtime101 (i am a seasoned pirate after all)
But yeah. This sucks! Zip codes locked for me also, some time in the past 4 days (except int'l, where only the country is locked)
I buy my non ebay labels on ebay too, using sold items delivered weeks ago. And to provide return labels. Frequently.
Accepting a return request for an item on which i don't accept returns, because a buyer changed their mind or whatever, means i have to contact ebay after EVERY single return, and point out that they made a fraudulent return. Otherwise, i can't deduct shipping costs from the return amount. I have to recoup it from ebay.
This also makes "x% restocking fee" more difficult. Having to purchase labels outside of ebay
Ebay will sell millions fewer labels annually because of this

So many reasons why that's a bad idea, including opening yourself up to INR claims with a loss of seller protections, confusing buyers, affecting your shipping performance, and more.

Restocking fees are against eBay policy.
If buyer files a 'not as described' return, sellers are not permitted to deduct ship costs, even if there's buyer abuse involved. With a 'no returns' policy you don't even get TRS seller protections where eBay may offer an up-to-$6 return ship credit on abusive buyer returns.
I suggest doing a brush up on policies.
