Accidentally clicked "allow a return"?

I sold an item that was damaged in shipment. Luckily it was insured and I was reimbursed by the USPS.

I don't need the buyer to return the item, he can keep it, I don't want to pay for return shipping.

Unfortunately Ebay says they "automatically" sent out a return shipping label. I DO NOT WANT THIS!

I guess maybe I accidentally clicked "allow return", how do I cancel this?

Ebay really needs a confirmation button, too easy to click or touch on a mobile...

(I am in contact with the buyer and will be refunding his money)

Go to Site Preferences > Return Preferences.

Your site preferences have nothing to do with this. You can’t go back into the request and issue a full refund? If you can do that, just issue the refund and tell the buyer not to use the label. You are only charged for the label if the buyer uses it. Again your site preferences have nothing to do with what happened here, you don’t need to change them.

You can go to your return case and click on the option to refund now.  Once you do that, I would also contact your buyer telling them you have refunded (which automatically closes the return), and in case they already printed that label, just tell them to please not ship it back.
