When I was challenging eBay's "underpaid shipment fines" that pour at me at the level of harassment, I did not mean the flat shipment rates that I offer in some of my listings. If I offer a flat $4 shipment rate regardless of the order's dimension or the buyer's location, I do it willfully. If the actual shipment sleet shows $ 7.80, however, because of the buyer's remote location, I pay $7.80 for shipment and charge the buyer $4. Yes, I deliberately lose on shipment but I gain in the order price. That's the way I choose to sell my items.
So, "underpaid shipment fines" are NOT about that. Those are extra charges as if the "order was heavier or larger than that I scaled" which is totally false. Moreover, the USPS has no problems with me. It is only eBay "moderators" who are BITTER because they also are sellers and I beat them by my fair offers, as opposed to their greedy deals.
No go ahead and copy-paste my lines to formulate your stupid lectures... But before you do, be advised that your "directions" have zero value for me.

You call people trying to help you dummies and say their stupid lectures have no value to you.
I disagree. I think the value to you is you like it or you wouldn't keep asking for more..........
"Please don't do it some more" LOL Lol lol.....................

Good. Keep writing toms. Nobody reads.

Finally there is a definitive example of the difference between a real moderator, and those individuals whom the OP perceives as "eBay moderators."
Just look at the new lines added to the the OP's initial 2/27/25 post #1 --

See that black box, that reads "MOD", plus the blue lettering? Shakhib is a REAL eBay moderator, employed by an independent, non-eBay company called Khoros, who edited and removed the ugly insults from the OP's original text -- that is one of the REAL functions of a REAL eBay moderator -- and NOT jealously harassing eBay sellers with emails about "underpaid" shipping labels.
Please provide a screenshot of one of your actual shipping labels (on the original shipping container) that had been targeted for underpaid shipping. Please block out both buyer and seller addresses. Perhaps we may finally be able to settle this matter, without any further insults and name-calling.

@nona-strega This is just a hunch.....Are you using priority flat rate shipping boxes? If you are that is where your problem is.

@1786davycrockett , they made it to my BBL. Anyone who is abusive to volunteers has the potential to be an abusive buyer.

The title of this thread is "A brief clarification for who could not understand my former post"
I don't think any of the responders need clarification of anything. It's the OP who seems unwilling to address the issues in her own shipping prices.
It's not about whether your buyers are paying less than your actual cost to ship items and that you're covering the difference. What you don't seem to be understanding is that the mistake is your own error.
It appears that when you're purchasing your shipping labels, you're making one of the following mistakes:
And for any of those errors, USPS is catching them, notifying ebay of the underpayments you've made and charging you for the difference between what you paid and what you should have paid for that label.

True story:
I was in the kitchen just a moment ago, then I heard what sounded like the music from the movie "Jaws."
I clicked on the forums... and this post appeared!!!

The funniest part of this post is we aren't the dummies being charged for underpaying on our actual shipping labels.

The word is spelled tome. Plural is tomes.
I don' t know about anyone else but I appreciate the gentle and kind tenor of your posts, and find them absolutely fascinating.
And spelling mistakes just undermine one's credibility, so it's good to avoid them.

No kidding - it's like stop wasting our time then.

It is quite amazing the number of quad degreed geniuses we get here that are mathematically challenged.

OP has expressed that losing money on shipping is not their concern. They are aware of those losses.
Concern is the back charges, and why they are happening.
Not interested in any input. Seems to be just a vent.

The OP is obviously challenged in certain aspects. Math, logic and common sense come into play along with simple reviewing of listings before posting.
Though as we experience, it is more than likely someone else's fault for the USPS debits.

*raises hand*
I just got one of those underpayment charges, too...supposedly from a UPS package with shipping label from Ebay.
...and I'm, typically, really accurate with my measurements.
and I take UPS in and have it reweighed before it goes out.
The item was a poster that I sent about an hour away...paid $10 with my "discount".
Adjustment was for an additional $12.
Just curious if that sounds off to you...
I'm kinda nervous to ask after reading this thread lol

Both UPS and FedEx have become notorious for adding unexpected charges after the fact.
If there is an 800 phone number attached to that email, use it to phone UPS to file a dispute, and to find out the nature of the issue.
That's what the OP should have been doing before opening the OP's last few threads regarding "unpaid overcharges."
