For most of the past day and a half every time I try to access these boards or respond to a post I get a message "Too many requests".
????????????
I managed to get access once and I tried to post this and as soon as I clicked "post" I was kicked our.
And yes I was properly logged on.
Does seem to be working OK now. Any ideas what happened?

In a previous incarnation of the discussion boards, the reprimands from moderators were highlighted in pink.

I never considered the possibility this was a problem on my end.
I assumed either server capacity was limited by maintenance activity or the forum was a target of a Denial of Service Attack.
I admit to suspecting the former explanation would be the case due to my lack of positive feeling for Khoros.

You encountered a temporary rate-limiting issue on the boards due to excessive requests, which can happen during high traffic or rapid navigation. These restrictions are usually short-lived, and waiting a bit often resolves the problem. If it persists, try clearing your browser’s cache or using a different browser. It's good to hear that access is working for you now.

For me temporary lasted for 2 days. Nothing I did fixed it. When I asked on the Ebay Facebook page they seemed to know nothing about it.

The "Too many requests" error likely indicates a temporary issue with the platform due to an overload of server requests, causing access to be throttled. This could be from multiple users accessing the site at once or from automated activity like bots. If the issue has resolved now, it was likely temporary, but if it recurs, you may want to clear your browser cache or check with the website's support for further assistance.

Khoros was not providing any "Retry after" guidance, but I tried waiting 10 minutes, which was successful. Other users suggested that waiting 5 minutes was sufficient.
