co.uk Help Pages links to .com Community

alan@ebay

Lately, there have been numerous posts from UK buyers and sellers on the .com boards (more than usual).

They are following links to "Ask the Community" from the help pages when logged into co.uk ... And ending up here.

I think that you and your UK counterpart need to look into this.

Although the sites are close enough to be cousins, they are not twins .... .com responders, for the most part, are going to give answers and suggestions based on .com rules (and shipping, etc), not .co.uk rules, which may result in bad information being passed along. (And not a small bit of confusion)

Hi doug … a few months later and we are still getting posts from UK members … this OP specifically states that he got here through the Help menu on .co.uk

Re: co.uk Help Pages links to .com Community

@penguins_dont_fly I reached out to the member in the thread who came over from eBay UK for clarification on the link so we can track it down.

Also, if we see members from UK, they can be referred to

https://community.ebay.co.uk/

or

https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Discussion-Boards/ct-p/13

Thanks!

Re: co.uk Help Pages links to .com Community

We know where to send them for their boards. Why they are being directed to the US board was the question, I believe.
My apologies if I understood.

Everyone has options. Just be sure the best option is right for you.

Re: co.uk Help Pages links to .com Community

doug@ebay,
Here we are in August 2019 and we still have multiple posts from members registered on the eBay UK site coming to our boards. Most of them say they are redirected to this site.

How hard can it be to fix this?

I am not an eBay employee. I'm a US eBay Community Mentor.

Here is one recent UK poster who says he used "the updated version of seller view , and the discussion board link is in with all the other stuff like 'block bidder' etc":

Re: co.uk Help Pages links to .com Community

Thanks @eburtonlab I've passed this on to the Help team. Hopefully they'll be able to track these links down.

@sunnysouth1 the Help team has been working on the issue. With thousands of pages and links, it's tough to track down the links. We're working on it.

@greg5000 I've semi-circled back with the Help team. Thanks for your help.
