Getting more and more discouraged over the boards........ and with no responses @shelia@ebay
Should those of us who feel that way, just quit posting? Granted, I will go thru withdrawal....but perhaps best for me in the long run? Perhaps the thought is we will get used to it? And certainly new folks that come along won't know how lacking the present is from the past..... just chalk it up to another disappointment in ebay?
Such a shame.........

Thanks for your responses.......and it relieves my mind to some extent that you have pictures of the old board. That should help immensely in returning the functionality that was in the old board, but is lacking in this update. You should be able to "see" how it worked.
Frankly, and this is not a criticism of you per se, I was doubting how much you understood what exactly many of us were talking about. I, and others, certainly understand that this is a big project since almost everything was "destroyed"........and that you are only one person with limited experience on the boards and limited time to put in corrections. But hopefully you understand that this was a viable working board with many who have been here for years and who didn't see much wrong with it except small problems that couldn't seem to get fixed for reasons we couldn't/don't understand. I don't doubt your commitment, but, again, frankly, there have been alot of promises made in the last 6 months that have not come to fruition...so I hope you can forgive any skepticism.
I'm sure I speak for most of us on the board regularly......if there is any thing we can do to help you, please don't hesitate to ask........

You're much more forgiving than I. I knew early on when the thread titles were removed from each post and Rebecca said that was the way they were going to stay because of "too much visual clutter" that we'd be going downhill from then on. She refused to even acknowledge our concerns from day one, so I'm pretty sure Community users were not the priority in this redesign.

@dhbookds since the changes to the community took effect, I find myself spending more time helping people with eBay stuff on Twitter and other sites.
It's easier to find people who need help or have questions about eBay stuff there and in my opinion offers a better sense of "community" than the sterile, not user-friendly experience this forum has become.
I'll keep checking back here hoping for changes, but in the meantime I'm finding other outlets for positive engagement with other eBay users. There is life outside the community garden walls. 😊

Glad to hear you've found some good places... @valueaddedresource and you're advice is probably spot on. I know I'm in a rut.....lol.....that used to be comfortable, but it's becoming less and less of that.......

@dhbookds I totally get it. I've had to realize I've been in a bit of a rut for a while too (not just about the community 😉) .
Doing something different can be a bit uncomfortable, but then again so can staying in a rut. Shaking things up a bit is at least entertaining if nothing else. 🤣
But more to the point of the changes to the community, I'm finding there are definitely a lot of people who need help or have questions about eBay and they aren't here for whatever reason, so it's been nice to learn some things outside of what we typically see here and use my knowledge and experience to help others too. 👍
