I just asked a question about a buyer not picking up their package - no profanity or anything inappropriate, just wanted to get advice on the best thing to do. I posted once in knowledge base and then once in Discussion since I wasn't sure where is the best place, and the Discussion one got marked as spam and deleted, and now I can't post anything in Discussion other than this one (when I tried to repost under Selling or Shipping, the thread doesn't seem to show up in the boards at all). Why did this happen?

That's your reason, don't post the same question in two places. If you, do it just creates confusion, everyone has to try and check both places to see if it's been answered. So if you double post, they get deleted.

Thanks. The Knowledge Base forum was really dead, but I only realized after I posted. Would it work if I requested a mod to delete my knowledge base thread, and then repost it onto the Discussions? Or will I be prevented from posting that question into Discussions ever, now that it was marked as spam once?

@leel246 You can "Report" your own thread to a Moderator any time you like ... they are also here to help not just monitor for posting Guideline violations. With as spread out as the various boards are they are kept pretty busy ...
Some boards here are more active then others. You will always get more potential replies from posting on something other then the Member to Member board because THAT board can only be supported by approved Community Members where as other boards can be supported by the entire membership base.

Since it's already in Shipping & Returns I'd leave it alone.
