What happened? Where did they go?

It appears quite a few of the individual boards under Seller Groups > Special Interest Groups > eBay Friends have disappeared.

Were they deleted due to lack of new postings?

Possible, but doubtful. There doesn't seem to be a great deal of interest in cleaning things up. 

Just for the sake of curiosity though, I just looked and saw that there are now 16 boards in total there and with the exception of the Soapbox (almost 11K posts), none of them have more than 500 posts in total and at least 7 of them have never had any activity.

The eBay Friends board category is now down to just 5 or 6 different boards.  There used to be quite a few discussion boards under eBay Friends (24, 40, more?).  Why remove them?  Was it intentional or another affect from updating / changing the Community boards?  Did Khoros eliminate them or did eBay decide they were not relevant? 

Of the ones remaining The Soapbox is the most active and rowdy.  Many of the ones removed had good information about selling and buying from long time members.
