WOW

Frankly, I was underwhelmed..........

The notice gave 2/3 hrs notice, we were advised Ron would "update us"......which to me, and others, I think, meant he would tell us the status as of Mon....what was going to be done, etc and then we could question/inform him of our understanding/other problems with the rollout, etc.

Instead.......we had to try to drag answers out.....a number of the questions got no answers.......

Plus, frankly there was no mea culpa, no understanding of what time it is going to take to update/revise active listings which will be blocked if they aren't updated DURING the 4th quarter.........  and there is no understanding that there is little trust in ebay to do what they say they are going to do..... hence the concern over the size not being migrated to the new size box.  Just telling us it is mapped (?) to it doesn't cut it, individuals will always wonder "was it done to mine"?..

I'm not really sure what items other than clothing are involved in all the problems,  there are posts from card/stamp people that the "requirements"  are really going to affect 100's 1000's of items.

Most of this doesn't affect me........what really gripes ME is the stupid choices in IS.......maternity in Men's shirts, a 100 sizes in a category?  And then Ron says all this was "reviewed" by a Category Manager?  Yeah, sure......if so, s/he shouldn't still be there.

The pitiful part about this is ...........IF you get 5 sellers in each category/sub category, ask them to send what SHOULD be the IS, put those together and program it correctly.......all this could have been avoided.......  NOW, they are going to spend hours trying to correct all the mistakes........if they try to correct them at all....... reference the catalog debacle..

Oh, and the suggestion/direction to send IS suggestions/corrections to the Sd team........I sent the maternity one to them last Wed......they are reviewing it.... lol.........

Someone might check the tech board for the question about problems with the baby something category....I tried to check it and couldn't find her stuff with any of the filters....but was half asleep and could be wrong.........

More than you wanted to know, I'm sure..........

@dhbookds I will pass your feedback on.

There will be a Facebook Live on item specifics @ 11 AM PST: https://www.facebook.com/eBayForBusiness/

Also, we will update on the Announcements page as well, when there are updates: https://community.ebay.com/t5/Announcements/bg-p/Announcements

We tracked and thought we answered all questions in the chat yesterday that were on topic. I'll look into whether or not some were left unanswered.

WOW

I know I never understood what his answer to me was on the IS screwups.......

Also, I think there was a question concerning triggering the required revisions......would using sales manager, et al......trigger it?  Those aren't revisions as such, but they do have a temporary revision element.....

Thanks I do see a number of new answers.... which are short, to the point and understandable..........thank you

I did watch the ebay for bus short  interview.  I do see some mea culpa, but the "we will assess the situation later and decide if compensation will be given" is going to be read by alot that compensation WILL BE GIVEN......just a warning.

I heard them address the Clothing category as being involved and then some vagueness about other categories...  If you don't name the problem, the problem will be to EVERY Seller...real or imagined.  I applaud the attempt at transparency....but saying some buses won't run creates a panic among ALL bus riders.  ..tech guy barely seems to "get it"......   These things happen, we can't do a beta test, etc. We joined size type and size in 5 categories.....????  and now have to divide them properly into the categories....and in the meantime everyone laughs at how stupid ebay is.  How long did it take the "refurbished" condoms to disappear?  6 months or so I think.......  After action meeting?  How many of those in the last year?  What did they accomplish?  Each "update"/change seems to wreak more havoc.

I hear an emphasis that there will be an update every nite......so I see a new pinned notice from Brian B dated 10/22 with a link to the latest update........which was yesterday's notice..........  Picky....yep, I'm picky,  how many people are going to click on that again to see the "new" update when it comes out?  Thankfully, someone caught that & changed the 10/21 date for the facebook broadcast.  I saw it and just threw up my hands.

I'm probably crossing the line with all this.........but I, along with MANY, MANY other sellers, want to be proud of ebay, proud of it, proud of selling here.....but who can be?
